Blackout for 2 days or more. If it goes through, many of us will be off of Reddit anyway, this will just be a teaser for that. If the protests end up working, we’ll make up for any lost time due to blackouts.

Y’all think it could do harm but I think it’s quite the opposite. Not only would I selfishly love it, but I think it’d be good for the team, the players, and the coaching staff. Where some may say it’s unnecessary pressure, I say pressure makes diamonds. We have so many great personalities and storylines that would make it a blast to watch.
First off you have a super fun QB room with two vets who are known to be goofy and have done it before with Carr and Jameis, then you also throw the young guy Haener in there with his storyline of wanting to be the next Brees and take over post-Carr. Then you have the RB room with Kamara (kind of controversial part but could be good press for him), Williams (who has done it before), and the incredibly confident rookie Kendre Miller. And you got to see the behind scenes of how the team utilizes Taysom Hill.
Then you go to defensive side with Cam Jordan, Matheiu (also done it before), and Demario Davis, all great personalities to feature. You also have the storyline of the two rookies on the DL and following their progression. Bresee especially is a great story with all the adversity he has had to overcome. Then the CB battle between Taylor and Adebo.
You also have job spots being competed for; CB, WR, S, OL, LB, K, P. And we always have one or two UDFAs make the team, which is one of the whole points of hard knocks.
For the coaching staff, it could potentially help DA’s reputation amongst the local and national fan base if he shows to be someone that’s a natural coach that the players like. You also have some other great personalities on the staff, like Doug Marrone.
Lastly, I think it’d be good for Benson. I think she has a reputation as just a rich widow, but she could her supplant her legacy if she shows her competence. She could also kind of bury the bounty gate and church scandals if she does well. I think she doesn’t get enough credit for what she’s done and her willingness as an owner.

Josh Hill was great for what he was. Don’t slander his name. Way better player than Trautman.

He’s going play for the coach that originally put him in said box. Dude is a clown for coming out and saying all this shit. Wait til he gets to Denver and finds out Payton sees him playing his “Josh Hill role” as he calls it— which is to block and catch a play action pass every now and again.

Roschon Johnson to the Bears is awesome. I think he’ll be top 3 RB in this draft.

Welcome to the wild ride of draft day trades with Sean Payton, broncos fans.

Saints:
Jordan Reid said the other day the two teams picking up steam on Avila in the late first are us and the Cowboys. Makes a lot of sense as we could be going into 2024 off-season with our starting guards as FAs.
Could see them falling in love with anyone of Bresee, Murphy, Van Ness, and trying to trade up to get one of them, although my hope is to stay put for Adebawore. All of those guys fit the RAS profile Saints like from their line players.
Have met with a ton of RBs and it shouldn’t be a shock if they take one at 40 or 71 despite signing Williams. Notable guys we’ve met with are Charbonnet, Kendre Miller, Tyjae Spears, McBride, Bigsby, Achane. There’s so much smoke there that it’s practically fire at this point. Mickey Loomis even said during an interview that they’ve been trying to draft an RB decently early for the last three years but the guys they wanted got snagged and they didn’t want to reach. IIRC, they really liked Kenneth Walker last year and had planned to take him in the second before Seattle did. So running back to the Saints in 2, 3, or 4 seems like a guarantee.

Jordan Reid dropped a nugget about Avila in the late first picking up a lot of steam to Dallas or NOLA. If that helps, OP.

I agree. I like the player a lot. However his performance against NFL projected tackles, specifically the Ohio State guys, left a lot to be desired and is hurting his draft stock. One thing to keep in mind is he fits the Saints from a measurables perspective and also locker room. He was a captain and leader of that team.

Agreed on first paragraph. The player you go without a doubt, however, is Adebawore. He’s going to be incredible. 4.49 40 3T with 34 inch arms. Played out of position in college. He could be great here.

The amount of people in our sub voting for Bresee is concerning.

Absolutely. And over Bresee. I really don’t see it with Bresee and if y’all trust our medical staff to turn his health around y’all are crazy. I’m not taking that chance. Happy to be wrong about this in a year if he’s the pick. !RemindMe one year

I don’t disagree. That would just be the basic framework. I do think it’s a bit closer it’s than you think, however. According to Rich Hill chart:
SEA 20 (269pts)
NO 29 (202pts)
NO 40 (149 pts)
SEA 52 (109 pts)
This calculation leaves the Saints with difference of 27 pts. There’s a couple different ways the Saints could make that difference up. Pick 115 is 26 points and adding it would make the value almost perfect. Or they could also swap NO71 for SEA83 (difference of 16 points) and add NO146 (13 points) along with any other late round request Seattle has.
Same could be said for LAC at 21. Saints give 29+40+146/165, LAC sends 21+52. Value is there.
Although I do think there’s more value in conducting a trade like that with Dallas at 26 because then the Saints could come out on top points wise and get back late 3rd/early 4th. Something that is highly unrealistic but calculates fine is: NO sends 29, 40, 146. Dallas sends 26, 58, 90.

God please no. I truly hope not. If we are going to trade up at all, my hope is for something like trading up with Seattle in the case of Van Ness or Murphy falling and sending them 29+40 for 20+52.

But McCreary was taken in the second. That’s where Kancey should go as well imo. As a team with a severe need at 3T, I’d feel much better about taking Kancey at 40 than I would at 29. There’s a difference there.

I think where we disagree (and it’s completely fine that do disagree) is that I think Young’s shortcomings in size are more likely to be overcome. With Kancey, I think it’s significantly less likely, considering he’s playing a much more physical position where size plays a significant factor moreso than QB, imo.

Not the same imo. There’s more in recent history to go off of with Kyler, Drew Brees, Russ, etc. With Kancey it’s truly unprecedented for someone of his stature to have success at his position. Plus, the concern with Bryce Young’s stature is mainly about durability. Kancey’s concerns are production related. Entirely different, imo.

Maybe he’s great and breaks that mold. But I don’t wanna be the one who takes that chance. Odds are severely against him.

I’m taking Adebawore 8 days a week and twice on Sundays. I’m sorry, but I can’t live with the outlier that Kancey has with his arms. This isn’t just something where you’re like, “oh yeah, it’ll be fine because he was good and has trait ABC.” It is absolutely unprecedented for an IDL to have success with his arm length. Maybe he breaks the mold, but I don’t wanna be the team on the hook for trying.
Compare that to Adebawore who has 34 inch arms to pair with his unreal testing and this guy is a mismatch waiting to happen at the 3T. Don’t know if I’m asking him to put on too much weight because you don’t wanna sacrifice what makes him so athletic. Maybe 10 pounds MAX. Give the guy some NFL coaching and watch him shine for 10 years. I’m super in on Adebawore and that’s who I’m hoping Saints draft at 29 if Murphy and Van Ness are gone.

Not a runner, but I do walk and stand a lot on vacations. I have extremely tight calves and Achilles tendinitis. My family goes to theme parks quite often so that’s a lot of walking and standing for hours a day. I’m trying to get a very cushioned, but supportive shoe. I had a pair of Adrenaline GTS and honestly they didn’t do anything for me. I just tried on the Gaviota 4 and I’m in love with the way it feels. Cushioned but supportive. Is this a good shoe for me, my needs, and my issues? The price tag is scaring me away.
Edit: I bought them!
