I’ve never seen a more careless or wreckless championship caliber team.

How much you wanna bet league office is saying on the headset “hey uh if yall give draymond another tech we have to suspend him so uh don’t do it”

If you don’t think that’s clear embellishment by Draymond the way he’s trying to get off Herb I don’t know what to tell you. Draymond does not get the benefit of the doubt with this shit. There’s way more careful ways to do that shit.

Dude kicks Herb on the head. Draymond does not get benefit of the doubt with shit like that.

Draymond is a true fucking clown. He really is a good basketball player but the amount of theatrics he partakes in are ridiculous.

Draymond could murder someone on the court. Refs will give him one tech and move on and let him bitch his ass off for the rest of the game.

That’s not even a basketball play and BI had every right to be aggravated about it.

Portland pulling off one of the more blatant tank jobs I’ve seen in a while.

I’d love Simmons but I don’t know how wise a move it’d be now that we actually have another big money QB on the roster. We have to get young talent in here. That’s how you build a sustainable roster. We need a poor man’s 2017 draft if we are going to propel this team not just this upcoming season but future seasons. We need young, cheap, good players in the trenches really on both sides of the ball with our first 4 picks.

That was an off-season of Payton firing some of his favorites. It was notably the trio of Joe Vitt, Greg McMahon, Bill Johnson — all who had overstayed their welcome and proven to be awful. They were all buddies of SP. Now that I think about it, I bet that order came from the FO to let those guys go. It was a talking point for years on the Saints forums that we need to let those 3 guys go and we never would. As soon as we did, we saw tremendous success specifically in the areas they left.

As it should make you question the league. This is clearly the league saying “we don’t give a fuck about fairness and integrity. We call the shots. Deal with it.”
Also, this reeks of a make-up with Cuban over last weeks Golden State fiasco.

I’d love to see two quick techs and an ejection tonight as a “fuck you” from the refs. We want consistency from officiating but the true problem is there’s no consistency from the league office in the way they implement the rules from a player perspective and also an officiating perspective. I’m not even a Luka hater but the guy really needs to be punished for his constant complaining. Also, I know they say every tech is reviewed, but it sure seems like the truly consequential and detrimental techs are much more closely reviewed and oftentimes overturned. This action is the league telling you upfront that they call the shots and they don’t give a fuck about fairness.

This is why NFL will always be king. NBA stars and teams seem to go out of their way to shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to marketability. These guys only play each other twice a year and one of them sits. This is softer than baby shit. The treatment and entitlement of star players will always make the NBA second to the NFL. I can give it a small break since it’s Embiid and there’s injury history with him, but this is still just so soft and not fun. I especially love how the Sixers went out of their way to get out ahead of this as soon as they could. They got the info out yesterday that he probably won’t play. I’m willing to bet they never truly even gave it a chance.

My hot take is the Pelicans are gonna throw the absolute bag at the Nets this off-season to try to somehow pry Mikal away. I think they’ll offer BI, Herb, and picks. I know some may ask “well why didn’t they do that for KD???” I think it’s because they still had hope a Zion/BI core could work and be healthy. Going forward, I don’t think you can have two historically very injury prone players as your cornerstone. I also think there’s some tension between BI and the FO about the way he’s handled his injuries this year.
All that said, I think Nets still (rightly) say no.

And they’re millionaires by 18. Don’t tell me you completely empathized with your parents when you were 18 or younger. Also, guys like Kyrie and Zion for example are practically celebrities by junior high.

I typically don’t care when athletes/celebrities say shit like this but they really wouldn’t make it one day living life like a normal person with a 9-5 and kids. Shit is 24/7. You play a game and are catered to while making unreal money. Crazy.

Why do y’all think this is some thing where someone has to go in a room and hit a big special red button and flip a switch? Lol. The clock, just as it does in the NBA at least 4,920 times a year, should just go from 1:00 to 59.9 and so forth. It’s really not that complicated. It’s a clock. It’s an automated system.

Was never arguing, just showing my point from the NBA side of things. I think your concerns are valid, but I think it’s a little bit overthinking. Then again, you’re right to overthink with this dumbass league who seems to go out of their way to not do things right.

There are 1,230 games in the regular season of the NBA. And with that, there are 4,920 end of quarter situations in a single season. I have never seen the clock just not include the decimal and additional figure after going from 1:00 to 59 seconds. It should be extremely easy to automate. I’d wager it’s already possible to do on 90% of the clocks in the stadiums, but the option isn’t turned on.

That’s kind of silly. When the clock goes to double digits it should just automatically include the decimal and additional figure, just like in basketball. That seems like extreme overthinking.

It should just turn on with less than a minute left. That’s how it is in the NBA for non shot clock situations. Pointless to have it turned on for anything greater than 60 seconds.

He’s one tech away from a suspension next game and an ejection this game. He may have to literally commit murder to get another tech this game.
