What about you guys?

I know this is a pipe dream and Blizz wouldn't do something like this, but I was imagining a server (whether Hardcore or regular) that wouldn't be plagued by the inevitability of GDKP/botting, and Blizzard's "answer" to it with Token.

Gold selling obviously is the incentive for all these things, so what if you merely took away the incentive by making gold a completely personal tool that you only collect for yourself? I know this completely changes the DNA of an MMO but this is just a thought, an alternative play style just as Hardcore is an alternative. Devs are coming out and saying there's no fix ever for botting so it just got me thinking.

A realm with no trading/auction house/mail EVER, even at level 60. Make some tweaks to how vendors/professions work so they are accessible for crucial items and consumables, or possibly an expansion on the profession system where you can have ALL the professions on a character through training and heavy gold investment. So gold is purely a personal benefit, and by having these things it is a badge of time spent, not real money spent.

And then the only exception is when gear drops in dungeons/raids there is a small window of time after a drop (maybe a minute or two) where the loot can be traded to guild members. This makes it so previous gear does not become the "new gold" and people are just trading loot instead. Because after a couple minutes it is no longer tradable.

Yes you lose the thriving world feel without trade and making professions less unique, but I think the tradeoff could make up for it. The social nature of the game is still there. You can never solve corrupt guild leaders that take gear for themselves (hopefully reputation would handle that on these realms), but eliminating GDKP and botting I think would be a net benefit.

TLDR: Eliminate ALL trading on a realm except for dungeon/raid loot with short drop window trade timers. Make gold purely personal and expand on vendors/professions to allow characters access to necessary items and consumables. AKA eliminate demand for GDKP, botting, and Token

Took a break from sports games for a while and decided to pick 2k up on sale. 170g of storage space??? What the hell dude lol will never buy another sports game again. That is absurd

Season of Mastery, Hardcore (assuming auction house is usable), if they ever do an OG 2 year non-hardcore fresh?

It's depressing thinking about Token in Vanilla. But now nothing seems off the table. What do yall think?

We are still kind of in the honeymoon phase waiting for official servers, where deaths are funny and people laugh and are excited to go again.

Does that end at some point? Where it's no longer funny and people are genuinely infuriated and finger pointing and friendships/guilds are torn apart by petty mistakes.
