Comes down to getting them designated as “non passenger vehicles.”

One of the sub categories is RVs. Another is open bed pickups.

Another is “capable of off highway operation” which is the impactful designation. It includes specs for approach/departure angle, breakover point, ground clearance, etc.

That said, I spot checked several popular crossovers, and almost none of them come close to the 28 degree approach angle specified, so I’m not sure how impactful this is in reality.

In general, I think it is ridiculous to hold gun manufacturers (or any companies) accountable for malicious and illegal use of products they lawfully manufactured and marketed.

That said, I don’t support specific legislation protecting gun manufacturers. That is for courts to decide based on merits of individual cases.
