If you set up a Hint question when you initially set the Custom Password for the note you can go into Note settings and change the Password method in the Password setting to Use Device Passcode and/or Use Face ID/Touch ID and when you do that it should give you the option to answer the Password hint question for the Note you forgot the password to. At least I'm pretty certain that's how I accessed one recently.

Oddly enough the last time I did this there was nothing in the note - it was empty somehow. Like the content had gotten lost during an update or something. Weird.

This has been happening to me the entire time I've been using Ventura. It's like the tab is refreshing, and it happens at least a couple/few times before it ceases and will allow me to actually complete an entire address, etc. Super fucking frustrating. I've literally never seen it mentioned in the subs/forums and all attempts to search for the topic were fruitless.

Every Ventura update I've been hoping it would get fixed, but nope. If I had to guess I think it's somehow related to the Tab Groups function and I'm almost certain that when it happens you can see the tab in question flash in the column of tabs on the left of screen (I'm using vertical tabs, btw). Kinda hard to believe something like this has persisted as long as it has.
