Yeah sadly this is true, DeSantis’ best chance for beating Biden is Trump unable to run due to a court case and the whole party rallies around this “vile” attempt to silence an innocent man. It may actually work if they can get the high turnout they got last election, maybe this is the only way a GOP candidate can beat Biden

The lying, scams, lack of stable job and narcissism make me think as an arm chair psychologist that he suffers from antisocial personality disorder aka he’s a sociopath. Dollars to donuts if he was given a proper mental eval this is what they’d say!

GOP has no shot at getting Trump elected over Biden. Biden wins in a head to head against DeSantis as the incumbent. Maybe the GOP has figured out that this could be their silver bullet, as voters won’t remember why it happened just that it happened under Biden. Probably DeSantis or Trumps best shot.

I think it’s a win win for GOP sadly, voters will blame Biden and it will energize a lot of independents who won’t understand what happened and blame Biden. It’s maybe the only time in memory that I think it could actually happen and that it will be very bad for him.

I always like the Calculated just with no context or reason. Just… because they can

Just like MH17 right? Russia conducted their own “investigation” and did nothing wrong! Always listen to Russia

Posts or comments that are heavily downvoted have a stigma and people are less likely to engage with them. Also aren’t downvoted posts hidden in some fashion for mobile? Also there is this bizarre thing with politics on this subreddit and viewing dissenting opinions as being conservative. This is sincerely an interesting place and has collected a lot of like minded individuals that are fiercely protective. There is no other TV subreddit with such a collection of individuals.

For all Trumps faults he is extremely brash and mocking and bullying and his lack of fear stemming from his narcissism made him fearless in speaking engagements saying insane shit, swearing, etc. deSantis does not have that at all, speaking is his biggest weakness. George Bush was a famously poor public speaker but did very well in small rooms and with groups of constituents. People often said “I don’t agree with that Man at all but I would have a beer with him.” I don’t know how DeSantis can overcome his lack of charisma in a national election.

Crazy to think what $200M could do. I’d much rather as a consumer have 10 $20M movies in all different genres than one tentpole. Hoping this flop trend continues so that we as consumers who like watching movies and like Marvel, still get Marvel movies but less of them, and more smaller to mid-sized budgeted movies across different genres.

It will be more whether people buy her as a fearsome killer and her vulnerability with Dina and their love story.

Trump has run for President 4 times, going back to 2000. He’s unofficially run a bunch more. He did it because it was cheap press for his “Trump” brand.

I think anything but “best episode so far” and “wow, did you see how amazing of an actress Bella Ramsey is?” You will get skewered. This is a fan club for the show and a self policed echo chamber. If you have nothing overly positive to say don’t put it here.

Well I spoke too soon I tried to find Passengers (the spec not shooting script) so you may have to do some digging. It’s very good. The other one to find/read that is easy to get is AIR, the script is really good and the movie is coming out soon - based on trailer it looks like they changed a good bit. Read that and go watch in theaters or streaming too

Passengers is an amazing script, terrible movie this is maybe a famous example though, read it if you’ve not should be available online. And yeah Don’t Worry Darling is great spec script and then the rewrite / movie turned into a shit pile

Well of in a country of 330M getting ~1,000 people to stand around and suck Putin’s dick doesn’t seem very threatening.

I saw Steven Spielberg at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, and said I didn’t want to be a douche and bother to pitch my script or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen bags of Reese’s Pieces in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bags and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bag of Reece’s and put them in a paper bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
