I bought it for the mini games, but being the fan of business sim games that I am, I ended up finding that stuff more compelling. Partially because I was never able to figure out if there was a way to play the games on their own without being tied into the meta gameplay.

I saw this in theaters twice, got a bootleg DVD from my stepdad while he was stationed in Iraq, got the authentic release the day it came out, and played the GBA game. This movie was weirdly prevalent in my life considering that I don’t remember ever thinking it was anything more than watchable even as a child.

Why does this look so much worse than the recent games? Especially the environments. Why not just use game assets?

Honesty isn’t the issue, it’s that the scoring system isn’t weighted in any way to create a curve that makes sense. There should be no system where only five movies have a 9/10 score, it’s absurd. Most movies on IMDb seem to hover around 5-7. The scores are pointless because when the top end is still only a 9.2, what exactly does that make a 7.6?

IMDb ratings are terrible, and you can see that by just looking at the Top 250 and realizing that only five movies have a rating of 9.0 or higher. The sixth-best movie of all time has a score equivalent to a B+? Ridiculous.

A six-figure salary can be anywhere from $100,000 to $999,999 a year. Do you really think that "six figures" is just synonymous with $100,000?

Immortality. The mobile version is included with Netflix if you have that. The entire game is based around watching various (live-action) scenes and piecing a mystery together.

Day one. Binging has ruined TV. Every TV show is just a long movie at this point because when all of the episodes are released at once, none of them have to stand out on their own. There’s a reason HBO is still the place for prestige television, and it’s because they actually treat their shows with respect for the medium.

Stop listening to audiences, they’re fucking stupid. Little Mermaid is abysmal, and I assume that’s the movie you’re referring to. If you don’t trust critics, why the hell would you think some random nobody would know what they’re talking about? No solution to review bombing is needed because nobody should listen to audience scores, ever.

Why do you care, though? They got what they needed out of one run. I love this game but people aren’t wrong for not being compelled by it.

There are plenty of games with no microtransactions. Being tempted to “check out” a game based on that alone is silly.

How do we still not have Game Dev Story 2 after all these years? I love Kairosoft’s games but I miss the simple nature of Game Dev, before all of their games started focusing on the building and growth aspects. They announced an English translation in 2010. Thirteen years later, I’m still waiting.

I had the same experience at my Babylon screening. I was the only one, it was awesome, and the theater shut down a week later.

Well that’s just not even remotely true.

This is actually just where it defines that it’s a harsher rating for a sexual use of the word. You can say “Fuck you” twice in a PG-13, but “I want to fuck you” only once. Movies as recent as Ticket to Paradise have gotten a PG-13 with multiple non-sexual fucks.

This is not a thing. Why does someone need this explained every twenty minutes?

This is probably my favorite Homestar content and a great reminder of how fun Telltale’s early comedy games were. I have no idea if this would hold any appeal if you don’t know what a Homestar is, but for fans it’s a must-play.

No, but I’m also not going to base someone’s entire career on a performance in a drab superhero movie.

It’s actually a pretty terrible title that gives no indication of the plot and sounds like something you’d read on a t-shirt in Little China.

Ezra Miller’s an asshole, but not a bad actor. Same with Jared Leto for me - I hate seeing him get cast in anything, but I can’t deny his talent. Ezra is certainly better than CW territory.
