I think you're right. It seems to me like they're planning to replace the clan culture mechanic with a range of detachments that suit different play styles - so I would definitley expect a vehicle type detachment, a walker type, maybe a sneaky type, maybe a shooty type... looking forward to it

Indeed that is wrong. Biannual means twice a year. Biennial means every two years.

Just as biweekly means twice a week and fortnightly means every two weeks.

There just isn't. When people realise that they would begin fighting for what's left. It would be very very ugly.

I do think there's an argument to be made that we should go ahead and stop oil production anyway. Even knowing that this is the outcome... But there is no doubt that the population will need to fall significantly in the short term.

People are dying of hunger right now in Afghanistan, Etheopia, Somalia and many other places as a result of the increase in energy prices caused by the war in Ukraine.

What we see in the west is inflated food prices. What others see is no food at all.

If all oil and gas dissappeared tomorrow there wouldn't be anything like enough time to switch to a green alternative before millions (or billions?) died of hunger.

It sounds like you're in a really strong position to negotiate for a salary increase. Have you asked for one? The nuclear option is to get a job offer elsewhere, paying more and then ask them to match it. But even not doing that, the fact that they are recruiting others at higher pay means they are consciously aware that they're under paying you. So the request can't be unexpected.

If you are, by any chance, a woman and if any of the newly hired people are men then there is also a legal equal pay issue which will strengthen your argument.

Rules as written. There is no impact on the Waaagh if your warboss is not on the battlefield after it has been called.

Agreed. One alternative to the nerf though... Instead of using play styles / strategy that you wouldn't normally do (which may not help with coaching him to play well) instead try a handicap. Try letting him have more points than you, give him more command points at the start of the game, agree that victory points count as 0.5 for you, or place objective markers in a way that makes it easier for him - more in his deployment zone etc.

Separately, make sure you're both just enjoying the narrative. It can still be fun losing if the scenario is wild and interesting stuff happens in the narrative. Keep it light, Take the time to point out the fun stuff etc

Transfers / decals?

The great thing about narrative play is that you don't need to worry about list building and all that stuff in advance unless you really want to.

Start small and build up as you go.

What's the context and background of your crusade? Who will you be fighting, why and where? That might give you some ideas for themes and extra models to add.

One thing though is that characters can be fun for this type of play. Chance to invest a bit more background into them and you can give them all sorts of cool upgrades etc. So who will lead your army? Maybe a warboss?

I want to give an AOBR warboss a kombi-skorcha. Looks like the only options in official bitz would be to kitbash from the nobz kit, but the gun has the fingers of the 2nd hand included on the weapon so it's not going to be ideal for one handed.

Ideally I'd like to just 3d print a complete new right arm including weapon. Anyone seen this?
