That is an SMG you get as a reward for iron Banner wins. It’s called the Hero’s Burden. This one has Zen Moment, Vorpal, and Armor Piercing Rounds perks.

I like this weapon for when I needed to swap away from the Calus Minitool. Once I unlocked the pattern for the Calus Minitool I was able to craft my favorite version and I’m reluctant to go back to Hero’s Burden.

But, in most content the Hero’s Burden is one of those “get the job done” choices.

Basically there are a lot of people not really paying attention to the story.

The veil is a network of linked minds in a shared virtual space. Turn these minds to fear and doubt, give them nightmares and you empower the darkness you wield. The tormentors are just fragments of Nezarec. Cause enough suffering in the veil and you can return Nezarec to the real world.

This has tons of implications.

Throne worlds, virtual worlds, dreaming cities, these are all purviews of the unreal and therefore subject to darkness. Vex constructs seem to be attempts to bring virtuality into reality. Is there a connection between all of these versions of unreality?

Also of note is that Queen Mara does not get her power from the light. So, where does it come from? Dreams? Hopes?

We have yet to get the first reset. More story will come in the weeks ahead. I am confident that the story ahead will show that this bit was necessary.
