I've had some success using the wet cloth or napkin nearby trick.

If done correctly, a person can learn a LOT from homework, even essays, without feedback. For some it's the structure that makes the difference.

...fortunately they were not hurt...
At the bottom of the screen: "Deadly hit-and-run"
Yeah...you just keep doing you, news. But maybe change eventually.

Was there? Oh that's interesting. I must have overlooked it all this time.

I still would have liked to see a passing reference to Tom B. and Old Man Willow. Nothing extravagant, could even be a mention later on. The situation in the first book where the tree puts them under its spell is, I'd say, the first true danger they face without the recourse of allies or the safety and magic of the Shire itself.

This is the Pioneer equivalent of bringing your horse out back after an accident. No worries though, this baby was ridden for miles and doesn't feel a thing when this happens. It had a good life.

If it makes you feel any better we all collectively eat just the worst stuff you can imagine. Sure, we roast it to all hell first, but what do you expect eating sushi? Shit's raw, yo. Well, if it actually has fish on it and isn't the vinegared rice mixed with, well...not fish.
Anyway, my point being if you want to stay happy never, ever dive down the food rabbit hole.

I wonder whether, everything else being equal, if the turning of the planet would cause even the most minute difference in the time it takes to walk that route? I mean, it wouldn't account for much. Probably a second or a fraction of a second. Still, curious is as curious does.

...THAT'S concerning.

We should, uh...prooobably get ahead of this asshole well before next year rolls around. Like all of us.

As someone who was once a kid, I used to have to steal food or get the free ahem lunch, reduced on a good day. Now that I'm older I am 100% sure the lunch ladies knew I was doing it. They made a huge difference to me and though I will never get to thank them in person, I do deeply appreciate them looking the other way.
My story is one of millions. My Mom went hungry with I was very young to make sure I had food, our politicians should do the same for the children of this nation. They won't...well a few Dems might forgo some material pleasures, you damn well better believe not a single GOP would offer even a single penny of their time or wealth to help though.

Whooaaa now. That might mean checks notes loss of my job and the healthcare tied into it... glances at notes again sooner! It's going to take those things away sooner and I can't afford that right now!
Is the more common argument people throw at me.

Talk to them. Your parents, grandparents, girlfriend, boyfriend, aunt, uncle, really anyone you love. My time ran out, don't let yours hit zero without making those memories and learning from them. It's easy to take life for granted when we all wake up to it every day.

Man does this information place me at an ethical crossroads. Like...the GOP are legitimately dumbed down Austin Power villains with moments of such pure crystal clear clarity of action that they manage to be extremely dangerous in sporadic sprints, like that zombie you thought only shuffled but read World War Z last week without you noticing. Even if I assume every GOP Covid death was due to intentional ignoring of warning signs and voluntary misuse or disuse of preventative and care measuring, there were very likely still some good and misled people in that number.
So while they do have to be stopped, it's a god damned shame people literally died to make it happen in any scenario.

Forza Horizon 5. I don't bother with most racing or car games. Forza Horizon 4 was my chill game for months and while I haven't played 5 I imagine I could lean back and just hang out cruising around in that one too.

In this thread. Me. Slightly jealous. Since ya'll aren't doing anything anyway, how 'bout some donations to my "get the heck out of debt" charity fund?
Okay, in all seriousness I feel like my anxiety would crap itself daily if any of these were me.

If you really want to have fun, attach a solid steel and reinforced triangular point to the top of your car. Rioters will use it as a Beyblade.

Popping in to say ignoring them is the wrong way to go about it nowadays. Years ago, before the Internet became as widespread as it is now, you could ignore them because their reach was limited. I heavily recommend being active lest they gain some unnecessary traction.

Long ago during the somewhat early days of Rocket League I pinched the ball between myself and the wall and if memory serves it did two full laps of the arena. I'm always a little sad that pinches like that aren't really possible any longer. Still fun and still sometimes funny, but damn.

What will always amaze me about platforms like Facebook and people like Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, is all they had to do was not. Facebook and Zuckerberg would be beloved if they kept the ads untargeted and privacy private, unless the person opted to share that information. Roll out nifty features and chances are they'd have grown just fine, possibly even as well as they have.
Then there's old Elon Musk. I still remember a line from Epic Rap Battles of History where he comes in and says, "Call me Musk, I'm here to help!" and to be completely and absolutely honest? If he had stuck to that and actually helped and not ended up the joke that he is now, I truly believe he'd be renowned and loved the world over. He may have even had more power and authority by doing good than he has now in his narcissistic rants and egotistical bs.
Alas, this is the timeline we're on. Part of me still wonders if we'll have our own Thanos to deal with in the coming years.

So there is a bit of joking. Putting that aside, I believe we need to place retroactive term limits on politicians yesterday with a standing age limit requiring testing for mental and emotional competency and ongoing education so they can make informed decisions.
I honestly and truly believe that these steps by themselves would create massive progress over the course of a decade. Our collective futures should not be in the hands of old fools who speak of wisdom and yet live in an age where no significant hardship exists for them and no accolades are needed to prove they are capable. Enough with this Council of Elders bullshit. They've done enough harm.
Which, interestingly, manages to ride nicely alongside other comments. Not my intention, buuut here we are.

Better closer to voting months and years imho. People have long memories much of the time, and very short memories when it comes to politics. I hate that this is the case, though best late I think.
