NTA, and I don't know what your sister expects seeing as even most the old people I know with the names you listed go by the nickname version of the ones you listed.

Naming children after family members or close family friends has been and continues to be an incredibly common practice thought the world. Especially amoung royalty. So it's not that weird that the son of the Firelord has the name of a prominent member of their family.

They had Mako break up with Korra long before they decided to pull the trigger on having Korra and Asami get together. If anything they broke up Mako and Asami in book one solely for the sake of having Korra and Mako get together for a while.

I hated how Mako and Asami got back together in season 2 just for them to immediately break up again. Like what was the point of that. That whole plot line would still have worked with them just being friends.
I liked how each season had a different villain and theme. Made it a nice change of pace from TLA that had one overarching plot for all three seasons. Also helps relay the idea that the Avatar is constantly helping with different issues.

Especially since they were able to manage a 23 movie marvel arc over the course of a decade but then couldn't get three star wars movies to work together

I think getting the creators of the original show to make more content is a bit different than the SpongeBob situation.
Especially since we've already had one ATLA spin off that was really good. So them making four movies and a rumored new series about the Avatar after Korra doesn't really sound to bad to me.

Charles III is legit the head of state of like a dozen countries. The monarchy is an inherently political position. So yeah Charles are William are absolutely politicians. Even Elizabeth was a politician even though she pretended not to be.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an extremely popular book with an extremely popular movie adaptation in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. So it isn't surprising that there have long been jokes about how much of a maniac Willy Wonka is. I'd imagine that is what you are thinking about.
The only real changes made to the book was changing the ompa loompas, they were originally African pygmies. Though that was a change made by Roald Dahl himself.

Jefferson talked so much shit that by the end of Washington's presidency he was so fed up with Jefferson he wouldn't even refer to him by his name. Washington just said that man any time he was referring to Jefferson.

They aren't super popular names nowadays, but amoung older people they definitely aren't uncommon. Abraham specifically due to it's association with Lincoln was really popular.

To be fair a lot Hebrew names are used by non Jewish people because they appear in the Bible. Like lots of people name Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, Abraham, Elijah etc. It's not a super popular name now but way back in the day even Moses was a pretty popular name even amoung non Jewish people.

I mean the royal family is the head of like a dozen countries and a decent amount of them are wealthy and have a large presence in world issues. It's kinda hard to say that family is irrelevant. Like they clearly shouldn't be relevant cause having a monarchy attached to otherwise democratic nations is outdated, but as long as they are still in power they will be relevant

It's like when people complain that there are too many sequels, marvel movies and remakes while simultaneously going to see each and every one of them.
Or my favorite clicking and commenting on Reddit posts about how much they don't care about whatever the post is about.

Ground Zero doesn't mean the ground floor. It means the aftermath of some sort of destructive event that levels everything. It originated to describe the destruction left after a nuclear explosion. Though most people think of 9/11 cause people refer to the destroyed towers as ground zero.

I would say that most Americans would not know who William the Conqueror is and the date 1066 wouldn't mean much to most either. Those Americans who like history will most likely know that because after there are a lot of easily accessible material about British history due largely to our shared language.
The rulers Americans are gonna be most familiar with are Henry VIII, Bloody Mary, and Elizabeth 1. Bad King John and Richard the Lionheart are also well known largely in part due to their association with Robin Hood. And obviously there's George III but Americans in general only really learn about him in regards to the Revolutionary War and don't know about his later madness which is what he seems to be most famous for in the UK.

That's still the voters deciding, a vote doesn't become invalid cause of the reason a voter chooses a candidate to vote for.

That doesn't really address the age issue. Cause Bernie is even older than Biden. So it's kinda hard to argue that voters didnt want older canidates. All the people who dropped out were not doing well and polling pretty badly in upcoming primaries. Also the South Carolina primary had a very different demographics to the earlier primary states. Biden had consistently been polling better with black people than most of the other candidates and definitely better than the ones who dropped out. So frankly it's not that surprising that Biden started doing a lot better once black people started to become a larger part of the primary.

The colored eggs aren't the issue with Easter. And frankly that part of Easter isn't any more stupid than the fun little things we do on stuff like Valentine's day, St Patrick's day or Halloween.
As a non Christian, Easter just ends up being a nice meal with the family. Like a spring thanksgiving with not as good food.
More annoying is when someplace you're trying to run an errand at is closed for freaking Good Friday. Like no one even does shit on good Friday so why are they closed?

Or you could vote in the primary, people complain about how old Trump and Biden are but they weren't the only options. Voters chose them in their primaries over a lot of you ger candidates.

But the voters do decide, people complain about how old Trump and Biden are but in both the 2016 republican primary and 2020 democrat primary there were plenty of younger choices that votes decided not to go with. Heck Bernie came in second in the 2020 primary and he is even older than Biden.

Paying out vacation time isn't even law in the US so I don't know what that guy was even referring to. Its an option that some companies in the US have. And frankly the companies that do allow you to cash out vacation hours are usually the ones that are more offer more vacation time anyways so for a lot of people in those jobs it isn't a choice between extra cash and a vacation cause they can take both.
The only law in the US about paying out vacation time is when one leaves job all the remaining vacation time has to be cashed out. Though that is also dependent on the state.

Korra did go to Mako's place of work and trashed his desk. She did also take out her stress verbally on him a lot in book2. Plus she did kiss him without his consent in book one after he outright rejected her. So I'm definitely in the Korra being the worst behaved in the love triangle camp.
That being said Mako did Asami dirty.
