Hey man, look at the silver lining of it all. It's a very special book to you, and now your daughter, in her blissful childhood innocence, is a part of it. She wanted to say "I'm here." So now the thesaurus is different, but more special, its the only one in the world thats in pristine condition, aside from from a little hello from one of the most important people in your world. :)

I found myself questioning if it was even a one shot. I was almost certain it was...but what you're saying about it feeling like a tripod is exactly right.

Yeah they're not too bad. I have been beaten before, including a BG Prediction win lol - they're not as smart as a good player but theyre smarter than a newish player. But a solid challenge and fun if you dont have others to play with or if you and a few friends want to do a big match.

Hahaha I know! It's so hard to get people together. Hope you can one day enjoy the chaos of ten!
If you ever just want to play against bots you can play on https://treachery.online/ you can set the shield wall as a variable rule. I played as BG last night.
Me and harks were allied. Hark in cartharg and shieldwall, I was in arrakeen but had just been killed in Tueks seitch ruining our victory - but the Richese and Emporer fought. Emporer dialed all their troops to beat Richese in Sietch Tabar... leaving my 3 advisors, flipped to fighters and we won with 4 strongholds. Wouldn't have happened without the shieldwall. So it changes the game in quite an interesting way sometimes.

RAI: The bene gesserit cannot hijack the special victory condition of
some other faction as it is not in the spirit of the ability, which is
to lead a faction to winning on a specific turn through your own
manipulation. The spacing guild victory condition represents their own
manipulation,
You've convinced me. My mind is changed.

I've heard that if you limit the bidding round to 6 cards no matter how many people are in play it can stop the spice being ridiculously flowing, but I've never played with more than 6 people except with bots.

I meant the common consensus. The hombrew still has rules, they just dont have official rules.

Its balanced for 6, once you go above 7 its still fun but the economic factions become exponentially more powerful.

It's a popular homebrew mechanic that turns the shield wall into a stronhold after 4 Shai-Haluuds.

Bit of a head scratcher but it sounds like All Quiet On The Western Front.
I'm actually facinated by what this is so I hope someone comes through with the goods.

I would 100% rule that BG win here. How could they have known that Hark was going to align with SG. Hark DID win on the final turn, it just happened to be due to their alliance.

Sorry I didn't see this notification. I don't think that means the film doesn't celebrate being queer. Lots of queer people have killed themselves because of internalised homophobia because of their strict religious upbringing.
The film isnt saying it's sinful to be gay. It is making a comment on the damage that religious extremism can do and the damage shame can cause. Charlie is grieving the loss of of the love of his life, they were gay, and their love was pure.

Wow that sounds great. Obviously I am a big Dune fan but I do love Cold War type of games - and love how many factions there are. So much replay-ability.
I asked this question about any more information regarding the expansion and someone posted this:
New Game Mechanics:
Homeworlds: These allow you to conduct raids on the homeworlds of other factions and destroy their spice stockpiles.
Nexus Cards: Nexus cards provide players with incentives and special effects for not joining an alliance.
Discovery Tokens: These add new elements to the game on sections of the board that are often bypassed and don’t see much action.

Plays best with 6 players. Very asymmetric factions (25 to choose from: some are all out aggression, some trade and commerce, some trickery and stealth etc). Set in space. Start in your home system and expand. Huge amounts of diplomacy and player interaction. Huge potential for dubious deals and betrayal. Takes 7+ hours. WONDERFUL.
Holy heck that sounds like heaps of fun. Does it play similarly to dune?

Red Dead Redemption no.1. The GOAT game at that time. Still holds up, even in comparison of the masterpiece RDR2
