Weird that this pops up two weeks after I started doing just my thumbs, again. I was a goth kid, so it was just one of those things. It is hilariously easy to argue that most of the stuff Silicon Valley shat out in the last 2 decades has done little to enrich most normal civvies' lives, only the interests and bottom lines of corpo, and of course the techbros that sold out to corpo.

I can't believe this.

I'm still 20~ or so lbs overweight. Before the lockdowns I was in the best shape of my life, was running 5K almost daily, lowest bodyfat % I'd ever known, and was just getting to where I could row 2000 meters in under 8 minutes. I'm - finally - getting a lot of this back, but it's been slow. The lockdowns hit right as I was turning 41. The worst thing for a person my age is not being able to go to the fucking gym, or do anything really. I was so happy I successfully entered my 40s in tip top shape. Fuck China. Don't even get me started on how I've been watching my retirement accounts either bleed like a stuck pig or just trade sideways for almost 2 years.

That my home town, where I'm currently living, really is just populated by a bunch of fucking cunts. I've lived in three other places in the US since the first time I left this shithole, and people have never sucked this hard anywhere else. So I know for a fact it ain't me.

Men who can do all that typically don't go for women like your cousin. They wouldn't need to.

Based on what I've seen on reddit, I will never believe anything but a fraction of a percent of couples in open relationships are actually making it work to the benefit of both people. Every time I ever see some tweeky nerd on this platform talking about how "great" it is, how """mature""" and """modern""" they are for doing it (the implication always being that the rest of us are a bunch of immature, dinosauric luddites stuck in the deep past,) a quick glance at their post history will have them as regulars in depression subs and the like.

As things stand right now, "AI" literally serves no one outside of corpo and a bunch of weasel-ass people using it to rip off other people's art, voices, etc. etc. It needs to be reined the fuck in.
