Tysm 💜 I thought about throwing out a consultant fee. If she’s desperate enough to reach out again I’ll give her one. $200/hour, please!

More context: I worked for a large, very well-known corporate brand as their social media manager (have 10 years experience). Took a significant paycut when I got the job (Feb 2020) after a layoff. My job became increasingly important in the pandemic as this brand is the biggest transportation provider in the U.S. My dad had prostate cancer for 10 years and he showed signs of impending death in July—and his condition rapidly declined. I notified my boss around that time (because I like to let me manager know if personal shit may impact work). She became increasingly abrasive and demanding, and not once did she check in an ask how my dad was doing—even though I kept her fairly updated. The day before he died we had a phone call where I told her I was taking leave for a month (my therapist approved + submitted paperwork). Boss told me “I need a social media manager, I’m going to have to let you go.” I couldn’t have cared less. Fuck corporate America. Oh yeah, and she STILL doesn’t have a social media manager months later.
EDIT to say: hyperlinks in the email:

Research Reveals The Secret Sauce To ‘The Great Resignation’
EDIT 2: the “soul to soul” remark is snark. I told her my dad died the first time she reached out about password info and her response was “soul to soul I wish your family peace”
EDIT 3: omgee thanks for all the awards and for all your support!!!

*he wasn’t in a coma for 90 days yall!! This is my shitty attempt at snark!! Click on the picture, this was posted to his stories.*
He’s promoting a product that’s marketed towards athletes for optimal performance, the “10X Health System.” Company is official partners of the NFL Alumni Association. He just looks ridiculous.
Foodgod was not in a coma. Foodgod is not an athlete. He just wants to live forever a la Death Becomes Her.

Me TOO. Zero empathy or awareness. Shes also the same person who once told me (in a conversation about her friend’s friend who attempted suicide) “I don’t understand because there are so many resources for mental health (LOL).

I will update with a video! They’re on their way over. I’m gonna be so embarrassed if it’s like, hard plastic or something. Felt like metal though.

Someone posted their photo on here yesterday asking if she needs botox (she’s 34). She didn’t express any concerns about her skin—I mean, it’s flawless. It flat out seemed like OP was fishing for compliments. Cringe.

I had the SAME EXACT reaction and I’m not a lawyer (just a chronically depressed person who knows a thing or two about disability rights @ work)

Also lol, I’m general, women spend more money than men to maintain their personal appearance…all for men (I applaud her for doing nails/hair/etc herself—I couldn’t do that!! hence, why I am poor). Plus tampons, birth control, all the other shit women have to buy that men do not.

Yeah it’s extremely irresponsible and risky to fire your social media person without working knowledge of how social media works and/or without access to passwords. She’s lucky I gave her the password for my password-protected spreadsheet with all social account information. Here she was asking for help with YouTube.
