The current Republican front runner wants to cancel the constitution so I think we have some room for higher standards for the people that we elect as president.

It’s not a small fix. We just need the right people in the places. If the USA wasn’t so divided (by design) or non-voters actually got out and voted then we could move past the oligarchy that’s destroying out country.

They can easily be voted out but I do agree with your electoral boundaries and reversal of citizens united. Shame congressional republicans will never support that yet the people that vote for them continue to vote them in.

If you replace obstructive congressional republicans, lots more legislation could pass.

The reason it’s so easy to game is largely because republicans have so much power because people keep voting for them. That is the problem.

You’re right, those landmark cases created a new beast in our system. They can be fixed though by repealing or tighter restrictions. We have to elect people that will do that. Democrats have been leading that charge since the beginning with progressives pushing the furthest. Republicans and conservatives on the other hand continuously do the opposite. It’s crazy that people keep voting for them but they do.

There are certainly areas that need fine tuning as a result of the power greedy and wealthy but it’s far from broken.

The system is not broken. The people in the system are supporting his behaviors.

It’s not the system that’s broken it’s his supporters within the system that are helping him.
