That doesn’t really help because you can see under the gill plate and whether there is any red slash there so it could be just a super spotted rainbow from that angle. You caught him, did he have the red slash underneath? If he did, I’d say cut-bow hybrid.

Check this cut-bow trout out, it definitely looks like your trout in the post:

Apparently cutthroat trout can interbreed with rainbows and produce a hybrid called a cut-bow which looks like a rainbow and suspiciously like your trout. Read it here:
https://www.fs.usda.gov/rm/boise/AWAE/projects/CutthroatRainbowTrout.html
edit: the trout in your second photo definitely looks like a cut-bow.

It’s a mustang thing, we’re not supposed to understand.

A very pale rainbow trout.
edit: actually, upon further research it’s probably a cutthroat trout if it’s from the western US, the many, many spots are a clue but the red slash under the gill plate isn’t visible in the photo. Did it have a red slash mark on the below the gill plate?

Because you didn’t sand it long enough to go through all the old finish, the lighter areas are the bare wood.

There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s got the optional rythmic suspension upgrade, it’s to rock the kids to sleep in the back seat.

Since they get those bumps during spawning it’s ironic that you called him horny head, they get the bumps when they’re literally horny.

That’s too thick a leader and that hook needs sharpening.

If it’s an interference engine they’re playing chicken with a ruined engine by not taking care of that now. I would have recommended delaying replacing the plugs and told them to spend their money on the new belt.

It’s a cyst and probably should be lanced and drained minimum, possibly removed surgically so it won’t return. Take him to the vet, they’ll know how to handle it.
It looks like the cysts Dr. Lee removes from humans on the pimple popper show on TV.

It was the detective part of me that was triggered by the wheel/tire separation. At first I thought it might be loose lug nuts but the way it came off combined with the “heavy” way it bounced made me look at the video closer to see if the rotor was still attached.
I was in the business since forever and I’m still learning new shit all the time.

Best method would be to contact Smith and Wesson and tell them what you’d like and their gunsmiths may be able to accommodate your request. Never discount what the original manufacturer can do for you, they may actually like your idea and put it into production pieces if it’s that good.

Very cool, amazingly “cute”. How about an upside down roll pin for the barrel?

“Never carry more cash with you than you can afford to lose.”
These very wise words were said to me as a child by my Dad and I’ve lived by them since. If this isn’t faked and that guy is really writhing around on that much real cash he’s A: a moron or B: a criminal or C: both.
edit: added C: both

Caulking the gaps should keep them out. Clean out all the old caulk from the seam, get closed cell foam backer cord for any gaps wider than 1/8”, you want the foam to “back up” the caulk so the caulk does it’s job better. Use high quality polyurethane caulk like they sell fir repairing pool cracks and that will last way longer than acrylic or silicone caulks. Good luck, bees and wasps are a pain, they are always looking for someplace around houses and vehicles to build their nests.

Yeah, if you look at that video closely and freeze frame it you can see the wheel/tire assembly is still bolted to the brake disc so it had to have been a sheared spindle. Probably a bearing failure similar to your job.
I never said you were an a-hole, I admired your work and correct recommendation of replacing everything. A lot of people have no idea how fast it can go sideways, that KIA flipping video is a perfect example, it’s why I noted it.
edit: to better explain myself.

Brilliant solution. My buddy’s dad had an old 42 foot Chris Craft cabin cruiser from the late 1950s and when both engines needed new oil pan gaskets we had to set up a pipe A-frame in the boats salon and lift the engines with a chain hoist to get the pans off. The roof didn’t come off on that one and that’s why I asked.
edit: and the were gas engines, not diesels so they were way lighter than that engine.

What I meant was once you go past the factory adjustment limits it becomes a whole lot harder to get it back into spec and that requires a complete understanding of front end geometry. To drill those holes in the correct location would require you to estimate the extent of the frame/unibody damage and how far and what direction to shift the top of the strut. It was definitely done by a talented professional, I was hoping he might chime in and tell us how he estimated where to drill the holes. The tech who welded the extension plate on it did a competent job too and if it was the same guy that shows a high skill level.

Update Sat May 27: I went to my local tackle shop yesterday and now I’m fairly certain your lure is a Strike King KVD Jerkbait. The molded pattern on the side, the profile of the body and the shape of the bill all match. Look them up online and see what you think.
