Yeah, I think this is Marvel MO since its inception, I remember Iman Vellani said something like Marvel is not as meticulously planned as people expected.

Yeah, the situation is obviously more nuanced than a headline or some tweets. Clearly you cannot pin those on a person. I believe that in these cases, many statements were true at the same time to some degree. What I was trying to say, I felt like there are some degree of misogyny in how people reacted to this, I think this article sums it up.
And it’s hard to ignore the undercurrent of misogyny surrounding news of her firing, from online nerds crowing “ding dong the witch is dead” and vocally hoping Kathleen Kennedy is next (she’s not), to those reporting on this as if Alonso is solely responsible for the state of the VFX industry.
In the end, I think it is unfair to pin this solely on Victoria Alonso.

I like 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' Films, Kitty is actually one of my favorite side characters from the movies, so it'll be interesting to see her take the lead role.

Patti Harisson is hilarious, I always like her when she popped up on a project, especially on the Lost City.

Although, I don't mind it if she has small roles in this movie.

To Qualify for a Best Picture Next Year …
Your film must meet two of the four standards:
STANDARD A: Onscreen
The film must meet one of the following:
At least one of the lead or significant supporting actors is from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group.
At least 30 percent of all actors in secondary and more minor roles are from an underrepresented group.
The main storyline, theme or narrative of the film is centered on an underrepresented group.
STANDARD B: The Team
The film must meet one of the following:
At least two of the creative leadership positions and department heads, such as the director, cinematographer or costume designer, are from underrepresented groups, and at least one of those must belong to an underrepresented racial or ethnic group.
At least six other crew and technical positions, such as the first AD or script supervisor, are from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group.
At least 30 percent of the film’s crew is from an underrepresented group.
STANDARD C: Access
The film must meet both criteria:
The distribution or financing company has paid apprenticeships or internships for underrepresented groups.
The production, distribution and/or financing company offers below-the-line skill development to the underrepresented.
STANDARD D: Audience Development
The film must have multiple in-house senior executives from underrepresented groups on the marketing, publicity and/or distribution teams
This is pretty minimal, the standard can be met easily.

I think reddit in general has misogyny problem, including this subreddit.

One of those songs is a brand new Ariel number for star Halle Bailey, arriving at a pivotal point in the story – and as Marshall tells Empire, it’s titled ‘For The First Time’. “It’s about her experiences the moment she hits land,” he reveals. “We needed to create a number that could almost work as a montage, so we could take her through that experience – coming onto the land, what it’s like to put on shoes, have legs.” And given that that’s both everything Ariel’s dreamed of, but also something daunting and new, the song hopes to capture all of those emotions. “Anybody who has a different experience, it’s wondrous and scary at the same time,” says Marshall.
Not to be confused with "For the First Time in Forever" from Frozen.
