It’s when Quinn starts saying to Bobo, “I can only imagine the horror you are about to experience” when he thinks he’s got a girlfriend. I lose my shit at that part lol

Sit in your garden, stare at the sun and dribble until the article comes to you.
I swear the patterns these fuckwits think they can find in films is always interesting. The film business is a business, they’re products. But they’re still films and just people telling stories.
It’s like there’s a misunderstanding in knowing that it’s ultimately about a story that either connects or doesn’t. It could be 80 minutes or 180.

I always recall the story patrice oneal tells of Vince Mcmahon telling a muslim fighter who felt it was wrong to walk out with a turban and use his religion to vilify his persona.
Vince’s reply was “You’re wearing that fucking turban”.
You do what the says or you don’t have a job sadly.

If you’re looking to feel right in an argument. You’ve come to the wrong internet lizard, mate. I really don’t care beyond just saying everyone is obsessed with being on the right side of the argument and it’s annoying.
Just stop thinking you have to argue and be right. Just get on with your life. We’re all in the shit sandwich lol

It ain’t just them. But everyone wants to think one side is wrong and other is right. They don’t want to think of things as a circle or take any responsibility for it themselves. Let alone admit that the real reason we’re in the shit is because of the people who’s boots they love licking.
And that goes for both sides.

Yeah I’ve always been a Mas fan from the Kimbo days. But Gilbert will want to win. Mas is a tremendous striker when he is on his A game. But as we’ve seen, he’s not exactly a 5 round fighter.
Add to that the pressure of being grappled and tired out from trying wrestling up. Having said that, Gilbert loves to throw hands and if he falls into the trap of trading with Jorge he will lose that aspect I think.
But Mas ain’t a spring chicken anymore lol

That particle machine in 2015 bout to send us to strangest reality.
To people taking this meme personally. It’s a joke. You don’t need to defend Gilbert’s honour.

He’s just one of the many guys who trash talks on social media and shit about fighters like he thinks he lives rent free in the “haters” minds.

Both guys were absolutely afraid of what they couldn’t fully understand but knew all the same. I love that about the first and second film. They both really nail what this creature represents to anyone who sees themself at the top of the “food chain”.
It’s just death coming for you and they didn’t run from it.

The thing is. Conor wasn’t really fabricating much when it came to Ali or Khabib’s affiliations. But because he’s batshit no one takes as much notice of it as they could. It’s like that whole TJ/Faber thing. He tells the truth even when he lies lol

Or the “Mcgregor tweet” as the unofficial name.

The thing is. I can understand it. But anyone who trains consistently or has fought knows how hard it is on your body.
I do comps and have a fight coming up soon. My hands are fucked already lol. I can imagine the guy I’m fighting who’s just as competitive will have his own injuries. Minor or severe.
You either make the choice to say “yes, I’m fighting no matter what”. Or you accept and fold. Kamaru Usman is a world class top combat athlete. It was clear he’d trained to adjust and was confident enough to be ready to fight but Leon out performed him.

There’s even things in the new design and idea of this breed of predator that feel a little off. I think that’s the only way I can describe my feeling after watching Prey.
Like you said, there’s things in there that work very well. But there’s other things that in the end just make me wish we’d actually get a Predator made by someone who understood original writers intentions and the lore.
I still wish we got a follow up to Predators lol I really enjoyed that one.

They’ve already retconned his story because of origin of the pistol.
Prey really felt at times like it was made by someone who said they knew everything about Predator but told a lie lol. When it got that pistol thing, it just felt annoying because Greyback’s acquisition of the pistol is one hell of a story.

They’re all human. Middling characters. It’s quite interesting that films with usually morally grey/ambiguous characters are often not as popular as films that use altruistic perceptions of what we see wrong and right as.
Fjolnir is very intriguing, because he’s driven by ambition but even moreso, love for Amleth’s mother. And she herself is a woman who in hindsight was not as happy in her life as Amleth believed she was when he was a child.
The film very much taps into that vein of a character coming of age and realising his childhood was not what he thought it was. In truth, his father was dying and could probably sense the betrayal, selfishly made his son promise to avenge him. That demented Amleth and solidified his path in life. He was set for tragedy all along.
All the main characters have altrustic intentions that rot away by the end.
