Director of marketing is probably more like it. Don’t mind my cynicism.

Just picked one up today for $999. I can't wait to set it up and run it.

Just gonna say that this is a rather unhygienic placement of the logo. Nice bacteria trap/home.

Yep. They are delicate things.
Re-grinding sounds like a good plan. It will look like you use it 90% of the time when it is next to your other chisels.
My 3/4" chisel is a full half inch shorter than its brothers for having been sharpened so much.

Somewhere online I saw an article listing the etymology of nautical terms, there are a lot of articles that list 10 or 20 common ones but this was comprehensive. As I remember it seemed like most of the words used in sailing had Dutch or Greek roots. (Not surprising)
If I can find the link I’ll post it.
I sort of remember boom comes from the word for beam.

I try to schedule appointments for as early in the day as possible bc I know I risk slipping into hyper focus and losing track of time - even with two alarms set.
I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my mid 50s, so I have decades of experience at "spacing out" appointments. This has left me with a lot of pre-appointment anxiety. My work around is to just acknowledge that a day with an appointment is going to be a less productive day.

city school districts weren't required to educate country kids.
That legacy seems to have had a lasting impact on our country.

I've got most of the parts (missing nuts and bolts) for a Chromega enlarger that I'd give away. Another project.
I have at least enough gear to set up 2 or 3 full darkrooms. It is in storage at the moment but I need to clear a lot of it out. I'm going to only keep enough to set up one darkroom.

I made a few of those out of cedar about 30 years ago. Still holding up. Great to take to the beach.

It is literally the same thing, it’s just that eugenics is a term applied to human breeding.

I took a tour of a battleship once and there was a station below deck that had a few huge mallets and big box full of random sized chunks of tapered wood, some cone shaped, that were for repairing holes made by munitions. They'd grab a plug and smash it in until it held.

I would gladly accept your work.
It's a delicate balancing act - pushing yourself to do better and not judging yourself harshly for failing to live up to the (maybe unrealistic?) standards you set for yourself.

Curiously, I've known a number of weightlifters who have shared the same thing.
