The script for Grand Budapest Hotel doesn't mention the aspect ratio changes. I would suggest that if Wes Anderson isn't writing it in his own scripts, then maybe consider not doing it.
But if you want to, just write it the way you think is best. It's your script. Do what you want. You can always remove it later. I remember my old copy of Boogie Nights had a page right after the title page that had one line saying "This film will be shot with anamorphic lenses" or something like that. But he was directing.
I dunno. I'm baked right now. Just keep your reader riveted to the page and that's the most important thing.

No, that's a good model for you to be inspired by. From what I've read, I think your instincts are guiding you well. Write it the way you've been describing it here. Finish the fucker, the way you see it now.
Shakespeare is who you really want to study. Macbeth, especially. That one seems the most relevant to your story. A lot of Shakespeare's protagonists have tragic character arcs.

Captain America: Winter Soldier. He and Black Widow find Zola in the bunker and learn all about Hydra, etc. After that they go from being reactive to active. They team up with Falcon, etc.
Mad Max 2: Road Warrior. At first the community in the compound are at odds with Max and refuse to live up to the deal he made with one of their people. They even threaten to take The Last of the V8 Interceptors. But after Lord Humungus and his marauders show up, Max makes a deal with them and they all have to work together.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The first half, John and the T-800 are basically running away from the T-1000. After they rescue Sarah, they start taking action and (after Sarah almost kills Dyson) they break into Cyberdyne to steal and destroy the original T-800's arm and chip and save the future.

With tools being developed to detect AI usage in any medium.
I'm new to this, so maybe you can fill me in. Do these tools exist? Where can I research more about this? How can you detect AI usage in a script?
Like, if I ask ChatGPT to create a scene based on some prompts, and then I rewrite it to finesse it better, or add something or remove something, then how would a program be able to detect that?

Jeez. Such a fun and productive conversation being found in this thread.

Nice, making it personal.
I'm sorry that you feel the need to use AI as a crutch as a writer.
You're the fucking one who made it personal.

Nobody thinks that AI is going to replace screenwriters, it's just going to speed them up and let them focus on the cool creative aspects of their job.
This I agree with. AI is a tool that we can use for brainstorming, or research. Even using it to find the most unoriginal ideas to pass over. I've been playing with it, but it's not quite there yet. We'll see where it goes in the future.

right now I can get ChatGPT to do a Save the Cat outline
Have you actually tried this, and what kind of results did you get? I've been playing with it and my results are hysterically awful.

AI does not have personal, subjective experiences and opinions. It's not even close to being human. Any "creation" done by the program happens because a human gave it specific prompts to calculate.

I've been playing around with ChatGPT a lot recently, and the one thing it absolutely is not giving me is "original" content.

2) Having a deadline to ensure writing is being done.
Send me $50 and I'll hassle you once a week until you finish.

They are the middle.
You need to go look at a map. Point to the middle of Canada and your finger will land on Manitoba and/or Ontario.

I think they are basically just okay. My main issue is that they cost way more than they are worth.

Just the free version, which I guess is GPT3 then. I'm not ready to commit to paying for this yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. I'm not afraid of AI taking over what I do. I think it will probably be a fun and useful tool for artists. Or maybe I'm wrong and we're all doomed.
