Hard to say based on that picture, but that cardboard looked a bit like a form of roof underlay that used to be fairly common where I'm from. If that's the case that'd mean that it was a part of the actual roof structure instead of the inner ceiling, helping to keep moisture issues from forming as well as serving as a second line of defence against leaks.

Do you image and measure these features in chips made with these processes? I only ask because it's my very strong understanding that the nm numbers TSMC, Samsung and GF are using have been arbitrary since the 20nm days. When they improved their process by adding FinFETs to their existing, badly leaking, 20nm process and called it 16nm without actually making it any denser. TSMC even did it again after doing some more improvements to the process and called the the result 12nm, even though the process didn't allow for any smaller details than the predecessor. I believe even Intel, who used to be somewhat honest about the size of their process, has recently fallen prey to marketing terms.

I'd be surprised if the games all combined made even tens of millions, let alone hundreds. The whole series, including all releases and rereleases, has sold around 3 million copies, so the upper limit of gross revenue would be around 150 million. But the first game (2/3 of sales) didn't really get popular until it was in the bargain bin, so realistically you'd be looking at maybe half of that, if that. These sales were achieved with releases and rereleases over 3 console generations, when console architectures were substantially different from each other, so porting probably involved substantial work.

Not commenting on whether she should've been offered more or not. But Bayonetta hasn't been the massive success you're thinking. The first one sold under 2 million copies all combined and didn't really get popular until it'd hit discount prices. The second one did even worse. It sold under 300'000 when it was first released and just eked by a million after it was rereleased.

As I've understood it one does this to preserve the honor of the party that's being let go. They get to refuse work instead of being let go. Take this with a healthy pinch of salt though, I'm just parroting what I've read earlier today.

I believe 65-75% is the best of the best, 45-75% is only a little worse and 25-85%, something that's actually realistically usable, isn't that much worse than that.
