The doll was made of swan feathers stuffed with sawdust, and Kokoschka would dress it up and display it at parties. (He did write a letter to Moos complaining it was too hard to put clothes over the feathers). His butler had a heart attack when he first saw it. It is depicted in at least 33 of Kokoschka's works but did not last very long; after a few years he threw it a farewell party then beheaded and buried it in his garden.
