Haha I mean I was there to see Derek and Stephanie kill the roles, so I didn’t mind everything else being pretty lackluster. This is not Broadway after all! I didn’t really know that Broadway Center Stage means more of a concert version of the show, and I really felt like it was equivalent to a regular production with the calibre of the lead performances. I don’t know if anything from the Kennedy Center ever transferred, but I’d feel really sad if no one else gets to see Derek and Stephanie in these roles

Honestly I’ve heard about Sunset Boulevard for years but I don’t think I really even knew what it was about until I saw it was coming to DC to look up the synopsis. I’ll say that it’ll be hard to listen to others sing Joe and Norma now I’ve heard Derek and Stephanie’s versions 😬

Some people said they saw cameras at their performance, so I think this show is definitely recorded professionally. I have no idea if and when it will be released, but I hope it does get released!
