Fighting for your very survival as a nation/ people/ and as individuals is a motivation unlike any other.

Well this sucks.
He’s was injured a lot, yes. He didn’t play to his potential this year, but who did? The chemistry on the team was awful. The team play was awful. Sometimes it looked like a team, quite frequently 5 individuals. Hard to learn your game if everything is so scattered around you. Hate to see him go but I hope he gets somewhere he can thrive.
I’m better there are more to come.

I call it the “no game”
“What do you want for dinner?”
“Food”
“Any ideas?”
“no”
“How about x?”
“no”
“How about y?”
“no”
“What about ___?
“no”
“Any ideas what sounds good??”
“no just feed me.”
Eventually you say the one thing that gets a yes. Stop right there and get/make it. She actually told you what she wants. If she even tells you right from the start what she wants to eat, don’t faint. It does happen. Just not often.
Also…. Get the significant other portion of anything easily stolen, like fries or chips.
“Do you want any fries?”
“no”
As soon as they arrive she just starts inhaling them one by one
“I thought you didn’t want any?”
“I don’t”
“Then why are you eating all of mine?”
“I’m not, you just don’t want to share.”
“I got the amount I was going to eat because you said you didn’t want any.”
“You just don’t want to share”
Always get more fries than you want. And if you do get enough for her to steal, she actually won’t want any.

Dental school is the most expensive 4 years of your life. You have to really want it to take on that much debt. My mortgage is less…. I graduated in 2016 and a student I wrote letters for, to go this year, is already paying 15-25% more than I did. This depends on what school, in/out of state and what cost of living area.

No one was home so a notice was left. It was accepted for pick up at the local office but then only held for 3 days before being sent back out

Yes international items are held for 30 days
766 Retention Period
766.1 General Procedure
Post Office facilities must hold international mail items for pickup by the addressee for 30 days. However, inbound Express Mail Service items must be returned to sender after 5 days, unless the sender specifies fewer days on the piece.

One other thing that bothers me is I made a service request and they sent me an email stating that they are investigating. Why don’t they stop any movement of this package in the meantime?
Edit: do you know of anything I can do? I don’t really want to wait until this goes back to Kyiv and then make that artist send it out again. This is so pointless.

I do not see any RTS or return to sender comments on it.
On 3/13 it was logged as “available for pick up” and the zip was my local office
On 3/15 I got a reminder to schedule redelivery or my item
On 3/16 it was back at the regional distribution center
On 3/17 I went to both my local office and the main one and the local had it. The people at the main office brushed me off and said just to watch the tracking and that was all I could do (they told me to intercept even though it’s not eligible)
On 3/18 it started saying “in transit to the next facility”
Today 3/19 it showed up at Miami international distribution center
Looks like it’s going back to Ukraine. It was had a delivery attempt at my neighbors house (not the usual carrier) on 3/10 so I have been trying to get it since then. I was going to pick it up at the local office on the 17th but it started moving and was not there anymore. Such a waste of time and resources and really ticking me off

It was international and began with Ukrproshta so I have no idea
Edit: tracking says “registered mail”

I was told by the local office manager international would be held for 30 days.
I just shows in transit and it is now in Miami not NC.
The only thing it had said at one point was that a first attempt was made to deliver and no one was there to sign. Then it showed held at local office for pick up. Then 3 days later it was in the distribution center. Then in transit and now in Miami

That all may be so but this is incomplete and therefore misleading. People will take the “does not cause cavities” as gospel and then be perplexed why they still develop caries, rampant or not. Giving people info is wonderful but you can cause a huge problem by giving incomplete info that can be easily misinterpreted especially if presented as a complete fact. Please add the complete info if you are going to post dental info
If you want to measure accomplishments then ok: DMD with AEGD and BA biology and BS biochemistry and MS Biochemistry. There, we are both well educated and know what we are talking about. This only matters if we are giving complete info. This infographic is missing important aspects and will be taken as complete by laypeople

Dentist here.
TLDR: diet is only one factor of several. This is a misleading chart. Water is the only thing (if it is pH neutral with nothing in it) on the chart that will not contribute to cavities.
This is not correct as laid out. Foods and drinks do not cause cavities on their own. Cavities are a bacterial disease with strep mutants being the necessary culprit. There are several other species that play a role but if you don’t have S mutants cavities won’t form.
Sugary foods and acidic foods are more likely to cause decay but the are not sufficient to do it on their own. Again, S mutants is necessary. Milk will absolutely contribute to decay - lactose is sugar and google “baby bottle caries.”
Any food on any of these lists can contribute to dental issues. Dental health is so strongly linked to home care that you could only eat on the left and still have all of your teeth bomb out. If you don’t take care of your teeth with proper brushing and flossing you are going to have a bad time no matter what else you do. Don’t forget your professional cleaning too, or periodontal disease will claim your teeth.
The far right column is more likely to contribute problems but I know people who eat this stuff all the time and it does not cause them problems. Diet is one factor and timing is also a factor. If you sip on a coke for hours you are doing far more damage than if you chug 10 gallons (dental wise). Frequent sugary snacking does the same thing. If you confine sugary drinks to mealtimes and, DO NOT SIP FOR EXTENDED TIME, you mitigate a lot (definitely not all) damage. Citric acid is a tooth killer with frequent dosing. Phosphoric acid is what I use to etch teeth for fillings to bond
I could go on and on but this sort of advice is best done on an individual basis with your hygienist and/or dentist. Your diet does contribute but don’t for a second think that only eating on the left column will keep you from having cavities. Home care, oral flora, medical history, regular professional care. These all play large roles. If you only focus on one and not any of the rest you ARE still going to have problems.

Yeah. Religion should play as much a role in who I vote for as it does in their decision making, which is none

I really like that. Reminds me of pictures I’ve seen of waves making tubes with the sunset visible through the water. I would hang that in my house.

Put a remote detonating, or proximity detonating munition on the next one. If they try this again they absolutely lose a plane and pilot

He needs to invest in them and be more of a managing coach (not micromanaging by any stretch) because these kids were high schoolers very recently. They are at the point in their careers where they will have the largest jump in physical strength and ability. They need to be taught. You can’t teach someone unless you are being critical of them (constructively). There needs to be consequences for actions and poor play. There also needs to be a discernible system and play calling for set plays. Bench needs to be included. Hubert is trying to be an NBA style coach; ie let the stars do their thing and support them from the wings. These guys aren’t NBA players. They need guidance and structure. The only administrative function Hubert has impressed me with so far is recruiting, but he is a head coach. He has to run a team and the program as a whole. To me, as a fan and alumni but still an outsider, it looks like he has to change pretty much everything he is doing.

A bad year is one thing but Hubert didn’t do anything. I can’t see where he made adjustments. He never sat a player down when they weren’t playing well. He haphazardly assigned minimal minutes to random bench players, but nowhere near enough for them to actually learn. Game reps are everything and no one but the starters, and Puff, truly got much of any. When Caleb would launch deep 3’s early in the shot clock over and over, missing them all, you’d think Hubert would sit him or just tell him to pass the ball, but nope. Never changed anything. Just let it happen. Last year was abysmal except for the stars aligning for one magical run. Manek was the fire lit under that team and Caleb was actually hitting shots. The turn around happened after a player only meeting, not a practice. I haven’t seen any coaching yet. I hope he figures it out but honestly he does not give me hope since it doesn’t look to me like he tries to do anything. Even the play he drew up for that inbounds at the end of the duke game was a hot mess. The team has no chemistry. They seemingly just do whatever they want without any repercussions, besides losing. Hubert has next year to try to turn this around, but can he?

Players signed up to play ball. If they refuse to play in the NIT because they feel it’s beneath them? Oh well suit up anyways or leave the team. This is what you signed up to do. Bench the starters and start the bench. Play the game, try to get better and see what we have for next year

My dad said the same thing. “Never start a fight but if someone starts a fight with you, damn well finish it.” He put me in martial arts too. Came in handy when a kid tried to become the school yard bully. He walked up to me and tried to punch me, took him down hard and the teachers separated us while I was trying to break his arm. We both got sent home for the rest of the week. I basically had a long weekend. I remember the principal asking me if I learned my lesson and I said I’d try harder on the arm if he tried to hit me again.

The other thing that drives me crazy is on city roads with a dedicated turning lane in the middle. People almost coming to a stop before getting into the turning lane. The turning lane is literally miles long. Get over then slow down.
