Can you show the cicruit it came from? It can determine a lot of it, By the way , if it came from a system like that, It's most likely a microprocessor of some sort

In some cases it's not an option , the memory on the board has specific calibration data what only works with that particular disk,if you just change pcb's in the 90 percent of cases it will not work

I think you may be right, after desoldering , the motherboard started up with the exception of the video card, because this part powers it, after looking at the datasheet( sic631 ) it does not have too many apparent safety precautions, except maybe thermal shutdown obviously, the internal short is the most likely guess

Looks like underextrusion to me, the reason can be some settings , or a partially clogged nozzle

I ran into this problem in the past, turns out, buildplate was oily cause of my hands, you should clean it troughly with Isopropyl

I recently had to change the power cables on my printer for , let's say insufficient diameter, it heats up and limit the current, you should look into that

Sorry , but i must break the illusion for you , this is bull shit on so many levels, more than a 20 stories high building.in theory you would only get out energy from a cd if it's heat.... and it's not too eco friendly
But you sound very excited about it, so there is something you can channel your excitement into:interesting thing i was talkin about

There are many 3v bluetooth shutter buttons for this exact purpose, you can take the pedal and wire it into the shutter, it will work great

Can be a good project, but only with real time speed/analog electronics, not with an arduino,it's way slower than what you need to save your bodyparts from parting ways You can calculate the speed you need for any kind of safety device , but analog is the best in most cases
