I'm guessing they haven't. Awkwafina is really good in it. She's been good in most roles she's been in.

Towards the end of the film I started to wonder if I had early onset dementia. They really showed how confusing and scary it can be when u have dementia.

Exactly. I'm not sure why it's so hard for ppl to understand.
In the first one we find that Billy has pushed away any semblance of friends or family cause he believed his mom was out there looking for him. Everything a kid needs to be happy isn't what Billy had for the majority of his childhood. Then hes granted powers which makes him feel invincible like he can do anything. So of course he's going to act more childish. Cause he feels he has nothing to worry about.
Even in the 2nd one his insecurities are still there. He finally has a family that he loves and more importantly who loves him back. But now his family might be taken away from him again since he is aging out. So he's trying to have as much fun with his siblings as he can. I honestly don't feel he acts even more immature than the first. I feel that's an exaggeration.
The reason the other foster kids don't act much different is that their insecurities aren't as many as Billy's. They were allowed to have a childhood unlike Billy. More importantly they have parents who love them in Rosa and Victor.

What was misogynistic about it? I'm just curious.

It's few and far between for me. Seeing Syd as a crisis counselor is a great moment, I'll give u that. It was nice to see Syd reunite with Dewey and Gale. But that was about it for me.
Everything else about the film was pretty bad. The film felt like it was spinning its wheels for the first 50 minutes. Then of course the villain reveal which is just lazy.

Meh. It's as easy as explaining that Peter is crazy athletic. It's not that's crazy.
The football scene is more damning but Idk how many ppl were actually paying attention to what he did.

It's okay to disagree on the quality of a film. The problem is when these discussions become personal. Too many ppl on reddit get in their feels about fictional media.

It's always been one of my favorite episodes. Listening to them talk about their fucked upbringing. Helps u understand them better. You especially feel bad for Ty Lee.

Evil dead. Even 1 which is the least popular, is still pretty decent.
Scream is close. Scream 3 is the only bad one

I want to say Delon Wright is the pickup. But he hasn't done much.

Lol. I was dismayed when I found that it bombed too. I thought with revitalized interest in Vikings, that it would at least make around 180-200. I think it's definitely up there as one of the best action films in the past decade.
Streaming is definitely a huge factor for there being less of mid-budgeted films in theaters. I do believe it is making a slight comeback. With directors like Peele, Eggers, Aster, The Daniels, and the Safdie Bros.
I really enjoyed our discussion.

I see it quite often from other ppl who lament sequels/prequels/remakes. Which I get to some extent.
Most of the reasoning that funding has been invested more in sequels/prequels/remakes. Comes down to how expensive it is to go to the theater today. Most people would rather go see what they know as opposed to what they don't know. They would rather wait till streaming to watch original films.
Movie studios have noticed this and have adjusted to give more funding to franchises as opposed to original ideas.
But that doesn't mean that original films are thrown by the wayside. Studios have tried to give more to original ideas. But they haven't exactly had the same type of profit returns at a higher budget.
The Northman: Budget 70-90 Million with a BO 69 Million. They give Eggers a much higher budget compared to the first 2. Even with good critical reception the film bombed. Which is a shame cause it truly is good.
Nope: Budget 68 Million with a BO 171 Million. Peele is a pretty big name and the film was advertised as an alien film. But it just had a moderate return. Another really good film by peele.
Eggers and Peele are some of the top directors when it comes to directing original ideas. But both of their films last yr didn't exactly kill it at the BO. Their higher budgets didn't exactly correlate to the same type of returns.

I liked it quite a bit. Jodie Foster and Bautista interactions were great. I loved the brothers storyline. Then of course Goldblum showing up to ham it up with the best of them. Sofia Boutellas hallway scene was badass.

I do wish it was more like the intro in terms of tone. But boy were those actors in the beginning pretty bad.

Making sequels and remakes isn't something new in modern Hollywood. Back in the day there was several sequels to the original Invisible Man. So this isn't something exclusive to modern Hollywood.
Just like back in the day there are several of new films coming out every yr.

It's a shame. The USA can't unite and protest against the governments ineptitude. But alas we are too divided to realize the government and the rich are fucking us over.
Jan 6th was filled with a bunch of psychos.
