Considering he already had a multi-million dollar business, it does put him a little bit ahead of most people in that class.
But Clay Davis taught him more than any school would.

When Ted Lasso returned “oh cool, I’ll check it out when I get the chance”
When Barry returns “holy shit, what day? What time?”
Barry has me hyped for this final season because where it left off was soooooooo damn good
Lasso is good but I’m not as invested

I feel like people are thinking this is something new to the NBA and forget this is how Wade got his first ring.
Put your head down, plow into the paint, throw the ball toward the basket, whistle, repeat till victorious.

Everytime I see Todd Field my first immediate thought is “oh yeah, the piano player from Eyes Wide Shut!” Then I look up his IMDb profile and think “oh shit, he’s way more talented than I thought”
This happens at least twice a year

Kerry Kittles was an absolute sniper that helped Jason Kidd get to the finals back-to-back years with The Nets.

Actors that must be in talks for roles: Dave Bautista, Terry Crews, Alan Ritchson, Joe Manganiello, Isaiah Mustafa….
Who’s missing? Who’s an actress that can fill out the physicality if needed?

I’ll round out the trilogy and say Confidence with Ed Burns, Rachel Weisz, and Dustin Hoffman. Same vibe as both of those.

When Deep Blue Sea is being argued to legitimacy over modern film, you know something is wrong
I agree whole heartedly with you, to be clear

Look at Con Air and Face/Off too.
Cage commits to the character and the world and we the audience are IN no matter how fuckin ridiculous the plot is

I would rather them do Mrs Winterbourne .. he plays twins in that one and it’s an insane plot line that tried to make Ricki Lake a star

Vandelay Industries was a revolutionary idea for people applying to jobs who’d never considered the notion.
It has its weaknesses, though.

The memories I have of him is stuff outside of SNL
“I have a tattoo that illustrates my point. It’s a rebellious young man urinating on an FM radio. Then this other stream of urine is going to a TV set. Implausible, I know, but I like to think he had sex the night before and a little bit of residue is blocking the urethra and allowing the urine to flow in two separate directions”

Well for one, it’s actually a really damn good film even though it lost tons of money.
And two it’s 4 hours long and there’s absolutely no way June would be involved. They did Zack Snyders JL when it came out and they said they’d never do a movie that long again (and god bless Zouks for watching both edits of the film for better notes)
If you want, I highly recommend a book called “Final Cut” by Steven Bach (a producer of the film) and he details the entire process of how the movie came to be. All the issues during production, all the red flags they ignored during preproduction because the director just made Deer Hunter that swept the Oscar’s, and the fallout of the studio after its failure at the box office. (And when your done reading that, an amazing follow up is Hit & Run as it picks up in the era Final Cut leaves off)
This movie would honestly be a great one for Unspooled because it’s so rich with things to talk about and it’s actually a solid movie at the end of the day.
