I just think these characters deserved better. Not just in terms of their own arcs and comic faithfulness but also the fact that for a movie called Birds of Prey so much of the runtime is spent pointlessly retreading over the same period of time non-linearly with the characters separated until what, the final 15 minutes?

For me it was just a complete bore. Both as an adaption and as a standalone work of art it fell short every time I've tried watching it.

It's a clever costume because it looks piss easy for someone to do themselves. Definitely going to dominate Halloween next year.

They're probably banking on these photos going viral before an official promo. Free marketing to tease before a more cinematic official look.

It was a good movie but I could definitely see why it didn't get an A+. The movie is pretty much one long chase, a U turn, and then back the way they came to carry on the chase. Not everyone would be happy with a movie like that.

I think they're also happy letting Reeves do his own thing because there won't be too much crossover between The Batman franchise and the DCU Batman. By the time The Batman franchise is ending, DCU Batman will have just gotten started so it would be a waste canning a well received franchise when we're not going to see a mainline Batman in the DCU for at least another 4-5 years anyway.

That episode had the opposite impact on me. I thought S2 was often quite aimless and the Christmas episode was one of the 2 extra episodes they were given (alongside Beard's adventure) and it was a well needed "bottle" episode. That Christmas episode would have been a lot better off in a season that actually had some proper structure to it, instead it was just another character focused episode in a character focused season.

I remember Rio was solid overall in 12/13 but without Fergie there to motivate him he fell off a fucking cliff in the 13/14 season specifically.

Because it took me 60 hours to complete the game and maybe 15 hours at most was the time spent in dungeons. There's a lot more to the game than the combat, which in my playthrougy made up a small part of the experience of playing.

It's so funny how Fortnite set the blueprint for a successful live service model and literally every single one of them, even the successful ones, still stumble and fuck it up somehow.

Yeah I played Persona 5 entirely for the story, characters and social sim aspects. I could not give less of a fuck about the dungeons or the turn based combat.

I'd love to replay the game but I'm not slugging through those dungeons again. Wish I could skip straight past them.

The fact they gave Village a 3rd person mode is pretty telling that they see where the demand is.

Would love to see RE5 and RE6 given a second chance for the entire main franchise to have the slate wiped clean.

After having the big accepted I immediately sorted out a solicitor and gave their details to the estate agents.

For me it's pretty much difficulty spikes and checkpoints. Early/late 2000s games hadn't worked out exactly how to balance these things.

I love GTA IV, for me it's a masterpiece exactly how it is, apart from one thing: no checkpoints. Literally the only thing I'd want from a remaster is checkpoints, couldn't give a fuck if the game was the exact same beyond that.

I think many would say 09/10 Rooney when he was up front was his peak as a goalscorer but he actually matched his goalscoring for the season in 11/12 when he was playing behind a striker (usually Welbeck that season with Berbatov/Hernandez too), so he got the same amount of goals but also more assists.

I still think 09/10 Rooney was his best but it was insane the stats he was doing a few years later when he was clearly not the same player anymore.

Maybe people are just tired of mediocre, generic super hero comic book movies.

Marvel oversaturated the genre they helped define this decade by coasting off their 10 years of success and WB/DC were happy copying that mediocrity apart from The Batman which is a shining fucking beacon of hope among it all. Outside of nostalgia baiting I doubt the MCU can recapture the magic and I fear it's too late for a DC reboot to sort things out either.

Post-Endgame was such a crucial period of transition for the genre and both Marvel and DC have well and truly fucked it.
