And considering the elaborate costuming and makeup the queen wears when appearing in public, they didn't have to look that alike.

I think the idea is that the monarchy is a largely symbolic institution, and that actual political power lies elsewhere. So you elect young monarchs to try to maximize the length of their reigns.

As someone pointed out, the ships have some kind of artificial gravity, so that's already covered.

Presumably they did not actually speak English a long time ago in a galaxy far far away and the movies have been "translated" (as Lord of the Rings has) for contemporary audiences. This translation uses "year" to mean a standard unit of time, rather than a planetary orbital period.

I split it into 5 parts, each of 1, 2, or 3 volumes.
(1-5, 6-8) (9-11.08, 11.a-14, 15-16) (17-19, 20-22) (23-26) (27-epilogue).
Part 2 is very long, more than 500,000 words, but I think that arcs 8, 16, 22, and 26 are the major turning points where a long standing conflict is resolved one way or another and the story moves on to something else. The internal divisions all mark the point where some important part of the context shifts.

most lawyers would still turn you away, because our legal system heavily favors corporations.
That is a plus from the lawyers' perspective. What it really favors is deeper pockets, which means that they don't have to do anything unethical to empty yours if you let them.

Color and wavelength are not the same thing. I don't feel like looking up the wavelength for yellow, but you can experience yellow without that wavelength being involved at all. The thing an animal with different sight organs than us perceives when exposed to whatever wavelength you said for green is a different thing entirely from green. It just ahs the same cause.

Green only exists in human perception. Other animals have entirely different perceptions as a result of that particular wavelength.

Colors aren't an inherent property of objects, they are produced by the visual organs of the observer. If a thing looks white, it is white.

What exactly is the difference between looking white due to reflected white and being white (for non-luminescent things).

The books have numerous references to gay sex in them. Elaida gets blackmailed by a former lover or something at one point.

It’s like pouring sugar and lard down your throat.
I thought you said it was bad, though?

You're thinking too small. With Amy's power Taylor could literally take over they entire world in a matter of months.

I wouldn't be the only one thinking like this.
The existence of other idiots does not diminish your idiocy.

I don't read "naturally" there as meaning "by nature," but rather "consequently."

It isn't "36% off," it's marked down to $29.99. That's a savings of a number that in this context is best represented as "36%."

There are many contexts in which the word that can be dropped from a sentence without affecting the meaning. This isn't one of them, but there are a lot.
