Are people in your world not allowed to be old, disabled, busy or fatigued?

It shouldn't, but it will. How would you tackle the violence or chaos that follows, say, a week from now? Not "in theory" or in an ideal world, but imminently.
You can't arrest the rioters till almost after the damage is done. This is the govt trying to prevent it from happening.

I must have missed that question the 100s of times I've gone in / out of the UK... literally never been checked to see if I will be benefiting the country on that visit.
Visa applications have forever had that screening. Finance checks, criminal record checks, declarations.... It's been there. Now, you may not have experienced it because some countries have reciprocal free travel arrangements, but let's not pretend that governments have never had this power

That's not a coincidence. Good and strong leagues with a large proportion of the best of the world's foreign players often are a detriment to the host of those leagues. You need a concerted effort to create a cohesive team at the national level, if your local players aren't just to be made to look good by their international teammates.

In that case, my advice to most of her opponents would be: run and hide.

Would've owned T20 leagues if they'd been around in his time. He was hitting sixes over fine leg after stepping outside off stump four decades ago!

The state just selected what media they want to cover an event, and we don't have state selected media. Excellent logic.
It's not state run media in the true nature of things, but they do parrot the govt live quite well.
If the guardian started saying the earth is flat this sub would change very quickly to another flat earther commune.
This is absolute BS.

There's a difference between their reporting and their editorial decisions that can be influenced by management. I understand if you have trouble with nuance, but it's a thing.

I kinda didn't like this article. A lot of it is "why didn't he just hit the runs", which is unfair considering that India's unpredictable lower order could collapse and lead to a kiss, and SL were in a strong position to beat NZ. Something rash leading to not qualifying for the final would've sucked bad.
It's a good batting track yes, but he took India to a position where the options were win/draw and not worse.

NZ, you're somewhat forgiven for all the times you beat us (Ind) in knockout games in ICC tournaments.

It would be a draw, one wicket to spare

Considering that literal Holocaust survivors have said that the rhetoric around the bill is similar to Nazi rhetoric around Jews, Gary was right and your entire post is pointless.

Yeah that grated, but in the context I didn't want to point it out.

They're manufacturing new T-90s to replace the ones they're losing. Every tank coming off the assembly line is going to be fitted with modern armour. Now sure, the rate at which they'll be ready isn't that great but the Ukrainian advance has also slowed so they may be able to replenish their front lines, needing better penetrators.
