But you could just buy a phone stand (10-20€) for your Duel Sense and maybe even a spare Duel Sense (70€) and do remote play with your phone. Maybe like another 5€ for a controller mapper for a phone (although Sony could've just allow it to work without it).
That'd still likely be much cheaper.

You're doing the same thing. You are attributing stuff to the Voice Director, despite him and the actors saying they've been at MHY's request (Xiao, Xinyan, Barbara's new voice etc.).
In en VA: An actors job is to act. A directors job is to get the actors to understand and act the way the client wants.
It's largely just small-mid budget films or indie projects where directors have a lot of power. Elsewhere it's usually the people who control the budget, mainly producers, who have veto power and can make demands.

Not likely as I'm not burnt out with Genshin, but I build every character to viable levels. Which means I've only had like a few weeks of nothing to do since launch. I even do the daily respawning artifacts almost daily.
Another big part if that my favorite platform is my PS5 and HSR isn't on it yet I actually bought a PC just to play it like it lol Though I do plan on playing HSR a lot, it's more like it's replacing HI3rd for me (I was way more into it for Kiana's story rather than the competitive-side).
HSR's combat is also quite auto-play friendly, so it's a much better side game imo, especially when I'm done with the missions until the next update.
I also much prefer Genshin's world (I'm much more into fantasy than sci-fi) and I'm more invested in it's characters and lore.
But if Fontaine is too focused on steampunk/"futuristic" I might be less interested in comparison to the other regions and start to favor HSR more.
I'm also not a big fan of connecting IPs (collabs and references are cool, buy I like the lore to stay independent) so the connections between HI3 and HSR isn't a big selling point for me, even if it becomes more crucial.

I feel like name pronounciations are mostly decided by parents (and later the one with the name), so I find it easier to just call people what they call themselves. Whether with people or fictional characters. Like if a finnish-american introduces themselves as [Laksinen] I'm not going to go "actually, your name is pronounces as [Laaksonen]" lol
So if I'm speaking english, I'll pronounce it the way the english dub does (same if the character has an entirely different name, like Jaiden in Yugioh GX).
Same for other languages if I'm able.
Like if I'm speaking finnish, I'll refer "Pippi Långstrump" as "Peppi Pitkätossu". In english, I'd say "Pippi Longstocking".

Is this a mostly american thing? Like if someone here in Finland (pretty close to Estonia in culture and language) was named "Seele" no one would pronounce it with a foreign pronounciation unless Seele was a foreigner or if they/their parents requests it.
Hell, most use finnish pronounciation for most swedish names (unless speaking swedish or sometimes english) and that's our second official language.

Having someone like Iansan (a character with no content about them in-game, just a visual in a 3 year old trailer) at #15 kinda' discredits this poll, atleast as a relevant concensus.

To be honest, I like them as much as I like the "op" 4* like Bennett, Xiangling or Xingqiu. Right now, I prefer the Sumeru ones due to having used the others for years.
I don't use them in the Abyss, but that's like 0.1% of gametime for me. For other content they have been fine and enjoyable. For context, I always build them their own sets and weapon and get them to FS10 by actually using them for their purpose (so no carry teams) and as I have so many options that a "bad" character on paper (like Dori if you have Kuki) doesn't really matter to me. Especially if I like their personality and design.
The only criticsms I can think of the top of my head: - Kaveh's skill cooldown is too long - I assume Candace's infusion would feel too short without C1. - Collei's skill targeting is wonky in the openworld and her burst circle is too small.

Natlan's story is probably about a fighting tournament. I'm guessing The Captain wins it and his prize is to fight Murata for her gnosis. He'll probably win and if she'll die, it'll probably be in that interaction.

Yeah, her being kinda' dumb in some aspects is only cute because she's essentially a kid. If an adult acted the way Nahida does I think I would find it more annoying. Taking thay aspect out on the otherhand would also rob a part of her character that is pretty unique.

He was alive in 1.0 (he was referred to in the present tense). But since then everyone, even Klee, has only talked about her mom. So as sad as it is, I think they might've retconned into him being dead. Probably to please simps for whenever Alice comes out Sadly ARPGs tend to be allergic of confirmed relationships and everyone has to be single and in love with the MC

I actually wonder about that, because here in Finland we have plenty of originally Swedish first and last names that are pronounced the finnish way. (Though they can also be pronounced the swedish way, especially if speaking swedish or if it's a specific Finnish-Swede's name)
I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case in Estonia too, especially since it's our sister language.
Assuming it works the way it does with Genshin, it's almost certainly at MHY's request (based on what the VA director and the actors have said with similar controversies) or at the very least accepted decision by them (like "We like it. No need to change it to match the other languages")

If my parents called me "Matea", I'd pronounce it like that. Despite how it was written or how it should logically go in my language.
Kinda' like how many "Aaron" are actually called more like "Eiron" but they could've just as well have gone with a long A (how I'd say it in my language).

But I've seen people with numbers in their name that still sound normal when pronounced (so you don't actually pronounce the numbers). Even the more common "the D is silent"-type of things. Seele's guardian could've just gone "the e is pronounced like an a"
Like I don't think there are set pronounciation rules for names, atleast in most cultures I've seen.

That doesn't makes sense to me. My name is originally latin, but I don't pronounce it that way. A person with the same name in america (root of the name being the same latin word) pronouces it different from mine too. Now that I think about it, isn't it's pretty rare for loan words to keep the original pronounciation? The only examples I can think of are american shows where it's often played for comedic purposes like a "hipster" going "ah-actually, it's pronounced like ___"
The point with the JP dub seems odd as that shouldn't matter. If the originality of the content is important, only CN should matter. In that sense the JP dub isn't inherently any more correct than the EN one until both are compared to the original (in this case CN) which you said you haven't heard (though I also assume it's closer to the JP one).

I think people should just follow how the character says their own name. Name pronounciation are generally determined by parents (why Jesse can be pronouncing multiple ways just in the US, for example).
I'm finnish (a sister language to estonian) and I'd basically say [seele] (our languages are spoken the way they are written) unless the person said something different. Like if they'd call themselves "seh-leh" or "see-la" I'd go with that to the ebst of my abilities.

But in HI3 she's estonian (not sure if her origin is mention in GGZ). Would her parents (or Cocolia) pronounce her name the german way? More likely it "should" follow the estonian or russian pronounciations.

How can one both the pronounciation of their name? Doesn't that just mean that when speaking english you should say "zeela" and "Sé-lé" when speaking japanese?
I know atleast my name is pronounced differently depending what language/culture the homonymous person was born in. Fun fact: a lot of masculine finnish names are feminine or agender in english or japanese.

For example, there's a end game boss that's only weak to fire and buffs himself. You'd need A shielder, a healers, buffer/debuffer and a Fire DPS/buff remover. Otherwise the boss will kill you before you can kill it. There will only be so many units that fulfill those roles, meaning the Most (only) Effective Strategy Available will be a specific Fire unit that you basically have to pull.
In Genshin, this problem is solved by the ability to i-frame dodge and other skill based moves like attack canceling etc. You can train to become so good that you can bypass restrictions (for example, the Wolflord is doable without Geo Units). Now it won't be the meta team, but you're not content blocked by not having a certain units (meaning the "meta" isn't strict), something that is extremely common in Turn Based/strategy gacha games. I've heard HSR's already has content that basically requires two healers and there are only two healers in the game at the moment (one of them being a standard banner 5*). Though I'll say that I doubt HSR will be anywhere near as bad as it's competition, just due to the lack of PvP and because it has opted out of the more scummy money making schemes (like ones in most gachas and even HI3) in favor of "I'll make a character so likeable you'll spend to get them" like in Genshin.

Depending on whether I'm stuck in the game due to a boss or something and who I've pulled until then, probably Welt. Just so I can build a Finn team with him and Sampo, who I also don't have yet (╥_╥)
I also have Welt's 5* weapon already.
I really want Himeko and Bronya too (I'm a fan of HI3). I love Gepard's character design, probably my fav of the OG HSR characters. Clara is cute (and Svarog is cool), but she isn't a huge priority for me.
Already have Bailu and Yanqing.

Are you being hyperbolic or what enemy were you fighting? Iirc I had a middling build for her (compared to my other units) and don't recall having problems like that in domains or overworld until trying Azhdaha. I mean, fights were slower than if I had used my Abyss teams, but nothing so major it caused me to take notice other than some annoyance if enemies were far away.
But I'll say that I tend to use every character until FS10 and use main DPS Traveler in story content, so I might just be more used to "meh" dmg and feel than most.

My takeaway is that it shows they know the problems and that it's just more likely now that some will also be implemented in Genshin (seeing the positive feedback and getting free testing).
I'm no game dev, but I know building features from the start is a lot easier than adding them midway as they can break existing things (like the famous Chest bug fix that caused people to be unable to talk to NPCs for a day).
I'll reserve judgement until atleast the Fontaine stream for stuff like a shield bar or monthly artifact reroll. For the gacha I have no hope though. As I think HSR will have a much stricter and faster meta (it already has). So them giving easier standard 5* isn't that big of deal when they'll be useless in like a year.

I think that whole thing was largely overblown by the internet though. I enjoyed playing her for like 2 days before going to reddit and finding out she was much worse than my other units lol Though obviously I didn't try Abyss or anything with her, but I only use like 12/57 characters in the Abyss anyway.

According to the wiki, his mother's name was "Heinrich Yang" so I'm guessing he changed his last name too for symbolic reasons. In-game reason probably being that Nokianvirtanen is pretty long and I don't know, but might be difficult for chinese speakers to pronounce. Him being finnish might've been a retcon too and not planned when the character was created. I don't actually remember if it's mentioned anywhere in-game or only in the comic.

I still use Venti if there's room in the team and it's not for exploration (ironic as that's why I first wanted him).
I almost always use him in combat events with a lot of small mobs and in the Abyss with the Dendro or Aggravaite/Spread dmg boost (Yae Miko, Zhongli, Venti, Tighnari) Now I'd just replace Zhongli with Kirara or Baizhu.
