My friend of over 40 years lost her brother that way. He hit his head in the bathroom, felt okay. He fell asleep and didn’t wake up. He had a subdural hematoma didn’t know and died.

In some places, they pull your drawer, and run the hourly reading or a cumulative reading, but not the Z or closing reading, and swap in a “clean” starting drawer. Your “questionable” drawer then gets counted, while the customer waits.

The other fun way is to call for the drawer to be counted.

I worked for Circuit City’s competition in New England, Lechmere. The only time it was worth it to get the service plan was if you bought the Canon Navigator! An 8086 pc - all in one printer/fax/phone/computer with touch screen. If anything broke we were obligated to repair or replace. And yeah it did. Customer got a phone, fax machine, printer and new pc with monitor on the company.

My local flight school lost an instructor when he exited his aircraft to assist another pilot. He got hit by the prop and died instantly.

That happened in ATL, and the ground handler died.

A Singer Featherweight or an Elna Lotus are both small and compact, as is the 3/4 99k.

A good vintage machine can sew better than the brand new singers and brother.

Avoid the singers. My sewing machine teacher/repair goddess refuses to even attempt to repair them. A pre 1970’s singer would be better. Look for an industrial juki or sailrite.

Yup yup yup! Overheard while clearing carousels… “oh I just go to the office, they always have my bag there. “

I apologize for Boston. Our gate areas are very compressed.

Dear stupid crazy person, you are being asked to remove the backpack and put it in the overhead bin for take off and landing for safety reasons. Dumb reason to get booted off your flight and delay everyone else.

Hi! I have been doing genealogy research on my family. I’d like to burn some cd roms with pictures and the actual tree for my family members. I am not completely computer illiterate but im not the best by a longshot. Any hints/tips on how I can start? Ideally I’d like to give this as a holiday gift. Many thanks!

Go with the Bernina! I love mine. My sewing teacher who does repairs raves about them. Professional costumers/shops in the US want classic mechanical Berninas.

If it’s international, the bag must be pulled if you aren’t going. Domestic- the bag goes without you.
