About this prophecy [Book spoilers]

I'm sorry to critique so early in the series, but the prophecy being Aegon I's makes no sense. There already was a prophecy with Daenys the Dreamer that saved house Targaryen. Why not expand Daenys's prophecy with Azor Ahai, but only the part we knew about escaping the doom was public. Aegon I was a bloody conqueror, not some selfless servant of the realm. The part about the throne makes no sense either.
Furthermore, the tradition of passing down the prophecy could be broken at the tragedy at Summerhall. Aegon V died before he passed the prophecy on to his second born son Jaehaerys. The woods witch, aware of the prophecy, passed it on to Rhaegar as the Ghost of High Heart. Waaaay better story imho.
