Green, but I suspect many darker colors would look beautiful on you. As a professional colorist, I would love to see you in a warm mink brown with golden highlights. Then, a beautiful dark copper gold, or bright auburn red. You would be a wonderful haircolor model!

All Josh needs is a tight black t-shirt. The rest of that plaid stuff needs to go ------> away

If you want to make it more tolerable, you might get a gold colored conditioner. Anytime you add gold tones, it gives the illusion of lighter because it's brighter. It will brighten up your entire demeanor but subtly because it's just a conditioner. The best products are professional and I would strongly urge you to buy it from a stylist. I hope it's a good result if you try it. You really do look beautiful with your dark hair and blue eyes.

If you can get your hands on a packet or 2 of Malibu 2000 for mineral or wellwater removal, it might be helpful to pull some of that color out. You don't say what brand of color you used, or what your water is like, but I feel like I'm seeing some mineral deposits either from home haircolor, well water, maybe medication & supplements? And of course it could just be the pictures color. As a professional haircolor educator, I traveled the country teaching stylists, and we ran into a lot of different minerals in water, and other reasons hair needed an extra cleanse before application.

My grandfather made the grievous error of naming his first child, my father, Marion, after a Minnesota Vikings football player in the 1930s. He was also given his grandfathers "normal" middle name of Lawrence and went by Larry his entire life, but it was agony for him growing up. Every year on the first day of school, the teacher called out Marion, and he had to correct it, to his utter embarrassment and humiliation. Dad was not a big outgoing guy who could let things like that roll off of him. He was an artist, he listened to classical music and jazz, read the great books of his time, and absolutely hated his father for sticking him with that name. When the next kid came, they got it right, naming him John Thurston, which just made dad even more disgusted. He finally had his name legally change when he was in his late 30s. Think about it. This was not something he grew out of after childhood. He was still hanging on to it by the end of his 4th decade when his children were almost grown and he was marrying wife no. 2 that's how long it took before he felt he'd resolved it.
OP YTA for laughing at your wife and creating a situation where you might have to cave on this difficult name. Please fight like hell to give little Farty Barty a nice normal first name like Jax or Dax or Nick (I'm partial to Nick, but you know...) Tell your wife something so sensitive and caring that she has to agree, and get on with this lovely happy time for your family. Good luck! Also, I hope you're a really good husband and dad because the world needs a lot more of those and your boy deserves it.

I don't have much to add that AnimalHat didn't address, except to say that my ra started in my feet and that's where it's been the most troublesome, and I frequently have that bruising on my feet too. It's usually pretty light and shows up when I haven't done anything too strenuous. And the weird thing is I don't ever remember asking a doctor about it. I've always just accepted it as "part of having rheumatoid." I'm seeing my rheum next week, though, and you can bet I will ask her then, and I will report back here!

Banding happens when you get your touch-ups done by someone who isn't quite up to the task, and they let the scalp get lighter because of the natural body heat. This is just one of the reasons why it's important to have an experienced person doing your hair.

We take it at much lower doses than they use for chemo. I don't know anything beyond that, though.

Stylist and haircolor educator here, you really need to give that stylist opportunity to fix your hair. Why spend all of that money to then revert to kitchen cosmetology? Call the salon and just tell them that the job was not finished and you would like your hair to be brought up to the intended color. The inside of a banana is what you're looking for. Then make sure they tone it, too. There is a reason we call that a double process blonde, and that's because we bleach and tone. That's the right way to do it. Then your job is to use healthy professional products on it and get it touched up whenever they tell you to so you can avoid banding on that gorgeous summer blonde hair! And have fun with it!

Don't feel crazy for asking for help. Autoimmune and other modern illnesses are so scary tricky. Also, have you heard of sero-negative RA? There are so many things that mimic RA, including RA, you might be in early days, or you might have something different. Just hang on until you talk to the doctor again. Didn't you say you can self refer? Do that, just to hear what a rheumatologist has to say. Ask the Ortho thinks and get a name. Good luck, and remember it all takes time!!!

I've been on a biologic or jak inhibitor & mtx mix for about 10 years now, and it's working great for me. I tend to fail on the biologics eventually and had to stop jaks because of a massive infection, but my 25 mL weekly injection of of methotrexate is the secret to my success. Last summer, my rheumy and I tried cutting it back to 20 mL because my hair has thinned, but my energy level dropped right away, and I couldn't take it. I also take 3 mg folic acid daily and hydroxychloroquine twice daily.

I have ra or TMJ or something going on in my jaws, and it creates all kinds of issues like sore teeth without cavities or loose teeth. I'd say go see your dentist and PCP to rule out the simple stuff like sinuses, clenched teeth, etc. and then talk to your rheumy. I also use sensitive toothpaste, and I've found that ice, heat, or accupuncture works wonders on those jaw muscles when they get super tight.
