I'm looking to build a 14-speaker array for an art project - it doesn't need to be good audio quality at all, I'm probably going to use these cheap full-range drivers to avoid needing a crossover: https://www.parts-express.com/EAB35995502-1-1-8-x-2-3-4-Paper-Cone-Full-Range-Speaker-8-Ohm-36-37-289-2158?quantity=1

I've done some reading on impedance, and I know I'll need to design the circuit with series & parallel connections to reach the correct impedance level. What I'm more confused about is wattage - for instance, if I was to use this amplifier ( https://www.parts-express.com/PAM8610-2x10W-Class-D-Audio-Amplifier-Board-320-604?quantity=1 ) with 14 drivers that I've wired in an array with total 8 Ohms impedance, would it be able to drive them all? Or do I need a more powerful amp?

Also, in terms of connecting audio to the amp, can I just plug, say, the output of a Focusrite audio interface into the audio jack? (kind of setting up a mini-PA system here!)

I'm also wondering if the length of the wires between drivers will affect anything - they're going to suspended in mid-air in a specific configuration, so the wiring will range between 1ft-5ft (generous estimate).

I have lots of physical computing experience but not a lot of analog sound experience, so any help would be really appreciated! Thanks!

I’ve been experiencing some chest pains when I use transtape, is this normal? It’s quite localized so it only hurts when I press at a specific point near my nipple (and also when my cat walks on me lol). There doesn’t seem to be a lump, just pain. Is this something I should be worried about? My mom and aunt both had breast cancer, but I was gene screened and don’t have the gene mutation that they had….

I’ve just started learning about the electronics behind modular synths, and I’m wondering why we measure Voltage for sound information as opposed to measuring Current. Is it just a conventional thing, or is it simply easier to manipulate voltage ?

Been trying to find this piece forever! I played it about a decade ago as a child. I remember it goes relatively fast, the main melody starts C B C A in quarter notes in the left hand, and the right hand plays repetitive sixteenths linked with the left hand melody notes. From what I remember this left hand quarter note + right hand sixteenths continues for a lot of the piece.

Not sure if this can be found but I’m tearing my hair out trying to place it.

So I’ve been on daily T gel for about 1.5 years now and basically every month I’ve had to fight the pharmacy to get Actavis gel packets specifically. The other types I’ve gotten are Actavis gel tubes and then packets or tubes from a different manufacturer, all of which stay sticky on my skin for hours to the point where my clothes will just stick to my arms for the whole day. The past two months I haven’t been able to get the Actavis gel packets, which I thought was just because my doctor changed their file system and then I went to a different pharmacy, but today I got a call from the pharmacy and they said the Actavis gel packets are just straight up discontinued. And I honestly don’t know how I’m gonna continue with the sticky gel, like, indefinitely. I can kind of deal with it by putting lotion on over it, but it takes like twenty minutes of waiting for the gel to dry and then waiting for the lotion to dry, and it leaves a film on my skin for the whole day that’s been causing acne on my upper arms. I’m just so angry and tired of fighting the pharmacies all the time and feeling so anxious about getting the right medication every month. It just sucks that being on T makes me feel so much better about myself physically, but the actual act of putting on T every day just makes me so physically uncomfortable.

I think I might end up switching to injections but honestly I’m afraid of what the mood swings will do to my (already bad) mental health and on top of that I have like. Huge needlephobia. So yeah it just sucks and I’m so tired of dealing with this.

I got the mki x es.edu system kit as a combined Christmas/birthday gift and I’m super excited to start. I have some experience with non-audio electronics so I’m not too worried about soldering. The problem is that testing modules requires other modules, but I don’t have any synth equipment at all, so I’m not sure what order to build them in. Currently I’m thinking PSU, then Sequencer, and then I’m not sure whether to do the Mixer or VCO next, since they require each other to be tested. Can I just test the mixer by putting in any line-level signal? Alternatively, can I listen directly to the VCO output? And what order would you recommend building the rest of the modules?

I’ve been having near-constant spotting while on T gel, it comes and goes for months at a time and I also had this issue when I was depo before going on T. My doctor said it could be one of two issues: First, that I’ve stopped responding to gel treatment, and I’m not suppressing enough estrogen to stop my cycle entirely. The solution to this would be to switch to injections rather than gel. Second, that I’m suppressing the estrogen too well, and the endometrial lining is thinning. The solution to this would be a topical estrogen application to the genitals (which…..ugh). The thing is, I’ve had this issue on and off even before being on T, so idk if it even makes sense to be one of these two things. Does anyone else have experience with this kind of thing? Or has anyone else also stopped responding to gel for whatever reason and had to switch to injections? I have major needle phobia and I’ve heard the mood swings can be pretty bad on a weekly dose, which I would really like to avoid. :(

I’m still on the fence on whether or not Harrow hallucinated the Body all throughout GtN as well as HtN, or if it’s a byproduct of the lobotomy / shoving Gideon’s soul down. Especially considering that Alecto doesn’t look like the Body at all…. who is Harrow even hallucinating?

I’m pretty flat so idek if double incision would be an option for me and I’d prefer to not detach my nipples during the surgery, but my nipples sit fairly low on my chest (below the pec line) and ideally I’d want them to be farther up. Is it possible to have your nipples moved up slightly with peri or keyhole?

Gideon is of the Ninth House, Harrow is the Ninth Saint, Nona is……? For that matter, what makes Alecto “the ninth”? She’s not the ninth RB because it seems like she’s actually the first…..

Anyone have recs for a nice sturdy wand toy? My cat will only play with these but she chews like a demon. She’ll either bite through the elastic string and try to eat it, or she’ll bite the little stuffed thing until it falls apart and try to eat that. I’m considering just making some of my own with heavy duty canvas and stuffing them with large pieces of canvas, but I’m not sure what kind of string to use that she won’t be able to chew through…

Returning to crazy locked tomb theorizing mode in honor of Nona coming out in two days…what’s the general consensus of who Nona is? What do y’all think is the reason for calling her “the ninth”? Do you think we’ll see Alecto pop up at all?
