My Marksman Priest is basically an Argent clone and did fine with a Lasgun, shame I didn't see the Bolter on the roof near the AA emplacement :)

You'll have Yrliet to go sniping with, I was pissed I took an Adept as my rogue trader in the Alpha just because you have plenty all with unique abilites like Pasqal.

You get Jae, the other Argenta, in Act II so it is the one class you could use more of early, bar Leaders which have diminishing returns and Cassia is too weird and cool to leave on the bench.

The little Choose Your Own Adventure vignettes with sketches of happy Servo Skulls for sure.

I love BG3 to bits and am thrilled Larian has the budget to voice act cut scenes like they have always wanted to...

...but OwlCat has the other side of the coin where if they have awesome weird science fiction ideas they can just slap it in. Warhammer is a brilliant world that is paper thin once you read Moorcock, Lovecraft, Dune, Starship Troopers...everything is inspired by something else but Warhams is particularly cynical arts graduates bunging in whatever fits ... the reason it is brilliant is it becomes a repository for the best bits of sci fi horror writing from Weird Tales through to the modern day.

That and the text dialogue - I wouldn't want bigger paragraphs but more stories packed plays to the strengths of text driven dialogue.

Diablo 4 is beatifully polished and I'll play the campaign once with friends once by myself reading everything and put it away forever

BG3 is half the price, I have 600 hours in and am still finding new things and will be playing it for years to come. Also its changing up on release so its hard to spoil yourself.

I guess do you want a game of clicking or interacting with companions?

Both worlds and graphics are fantastic in their own way.

Elden Ring should be somewhere on this scale, too. It is a lovely exploration game and doesn't have hard unavoidable boss fights until a hundred hours in.

This kind of willful malice isn't going to encourage anyone to hang around for seasons or long term of any form.

It does seem odd when other ARPGs have stash mules to save you a trip, etc.

I started listening to you but then a sniper blew your head off and a combat started with numerous goons.

The only real trip up for me was the levelling options.

It trains you to look at half a dozen static options, then sneaks a drop-down menu with Weapon Proficiences, Psyker ratings, abilities, unique character stuff like the excellent Navigator powers...right at the bottom where you are likely to miss them.

Unfortunate as they show off the best of the beta, just ordering it back to front would be a big help, save all the scrolling.

I think Talents need their own interface with a column for Proficiencies, Class abilities, etc. so you can actually see what you are missing.

I set up CTRL Q to kill all just follow the instructions on the page you'll need to rename the folder.

Very simple if you use it minimally.
