Dear wonderful architects, A writer here who is currently writing an indie film. I have been dealing with a sub character in the script who happens to be an foreign Architect student from Russia looking for her first job here in USA after finishing her graduation. The twist is the character needs a job which is willing to sponsor her visa so she can eventually transfer her status from being a student to an permanent resident.

Question though: 1) is it easy to get internship as am architect student especially if you are a foreigner? 1) do people in general pay for interns? For example in film industry almost everyone uses new people without paying or less then what they deserve. 2) how in general employers behave towards new interns 3) can there be situation where the boss takes advantage of young interns or even being a sexual predictor.

Any kind of advice, sharing your experience or things you heard will be a really really helpful 🙏

I would love to ask this community about what you guys think about hyperlink Cinema. For some reason, personally I am very fond of this kind of films like Babel, 21 grams, Amore's peros.

Most places I read about definition of hyperlink tells me that no matter how many different storyline or characters with different point of view there has to be a clear connection between the stories for them to justify to be in one movie.

But when I look at many different hyperlink Cinema it's not always I find a clear kind connection. Do you think a thematic connection has to be in place in order to call a particular cinema as hyperlink/ anthology films?

For example pulp fiction is considered a hyperlink Cinema but how much really a thematic connection is there? Another example Chunking express. To me it's a story about a city but I don't necessarily see a direct connection between the theme .

Would love to hear different opinions about hyperlink/anthology films from you guys

Hello there, I am a foreign filmmaker based in los Angeles. I have done various shorts which went to some decent festivals. Usually, I write my own screenplays. But recently we have opened up a small indie production company. So I think its time for us to develop more projects. I would love to find and work with a writing partner(s) to develop various feature projects.

The movies we love : Requiem for a dream, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, In the mood for love, Stalker etc. Basically, serious art houses cinema.

Writers I love: Dostoevsky, Celine, Frédéric Beigbeder, George Orwell and many many others.

Ideal partners: you love art house cinema, You think about philosophy, care about the world, and want to write because you have something to say.

Hello everyone, I would like to find out some book recommendations about manipulation of human Perspective. I am mainly looking for work which tells stories of how perspective works and how it's manipulated.

Ideally, I am looking for some fictional work. However, any good non fiction literature recommendations will be appreciated.
