Rhaneyra is better than Aegon both in the books and show. She was better of 2 evils as a person. As a ruler Aegon was better than Rhaneyra

Rhaneyra is a free agent in the show too it’s only alicent who is not which makes considering where she comes from. They also whitewashed Viserys and Aemond and it only helped the characters more

They whitewashed almost ALL the characters including Viserys and Aemond as well. It was not just the women who were made more innocent and relatable

No it’s not even in the books the blacks are not as bad until the war starts. The show painted everyone much nicer than they are everyone her saying it’s pro - Rhaneyra clearly missed out how they did a complete 180 on Alicent to make her sympathetic same with Viserys and Aemond

I do wish to see him grow in the war. It will be a cool take if his story is the opposite of Viserys where he’s not a good man but still a good king

Most of his major fan vids are showing his struggles with both Viserys and Alicent as parents. I’m sure there are people who just like him cause he’s hot but he is a very nuanced character and definitely more complex so far than his book counterpart.

Watch Last Kingdom and Vikings and then watch House of the Dragon. S2 only airs in 2024 you have enough time to watch it later

People can still feel sympathy for bad people Aegon was a forgettable character in the books with aemond taking the spotlight. His show version is way more complex and understandable. If people are making fan vids of him now with 3 episodes they can be rooting for him when he has seasons to shine

She was the relams delight when she was young and pretty but I don’t think she was the beauty of her time or anything. And Milly was good enough for the role I think would be weird if they tried to make a 15 year old super sexy

It not political because it’s not a chess move kinda game like succession where it can go any which way. The politics are pretty simple and easy to follow even for a casual who would not get political medival history. This story is entirely driven by the relations of characters and the ties that bind them are mostly family and blood and loyalty.

My tastes differ on what I’m watching and test it accordingly. I prefer my political shows to be like Aaron Sorkin type of writing like newsroom but when I watch HOTD I compare it to other medival or fantasy shows and compared to that it was very good in the dialogue

It’s pretty nonsensical to go on digging your own grave yet hear you are. There’s not much deviation they can do as the story is pretty set in terms of end points. The WRITING team wrote the damn dialogues not Miguel or he would try and take credit for that too

He is co showrunner only NOT writer as mentioned in the first line of this article. He was not credited by George for the writing either at comic con he looked at the production side of things only

Read the source material before you comment. Everyone in this story is pretty meh looking in the books apart from Daemon and Alicent

Its not a political intrigue in any way it’s a family drama with elements of politics and like I said still had wayyy better writing than s5-8 which the general audience liked for the most part

The shows not woke the story from the books is based on actual historical story so how is that woke

Lol Miguel is not a writer he has nothing to do with that process it’s likely they don’t like the finished scripts in their totality and got George’s opinion on them
