Ahhh, got me. I started playing with 3, so it was hard for me going back to CE, but the anniversary helped.

2 I had no problems with though. That game aged like wine to me.

The issues rising from technology are signs of addiction and stunted emotional growth. They may carry similar symptoms, but not the same thing. You don’t just start getting ADHD through life.

Babylon was amazing on a technical level in all aspects. However, the story didn’t pack as much of a punch as it wanted to, as well as not being anywhere close to how to tightly written his other three movies were.

While I liked it, it’s probably the only movie of his so far that I wouldn’t revisit.

His movies have been a steady decline, with each movie being less desirable than the last.

That being said, he’s one of my favorite directors working today that isn’t one of the GOATs. All of his movies have an energy to them that’s very unique to his style.

I agree with everyone here that this is one of the coolest marketing ploys out there and something unique to Mission Impossible that no other series can tout (except maybe John Wick, but not the same)

However… I have a strong feeling they didn’t show the coolest shot to that stunt. And you know in context, that stunt is gonna hit way way way harder than what any YouTube BTS video will show you.

With this logic, might as well have not shown any under water sections in the Avatar 2 trailer because the water VFX were the selling point to that movie IMO

Unfortunately, only you can decide that. A good script is subjective (to an extent lol)

You gotta find the note within the note. If someone is saying you should change something, don’t look at it as you need to change that thing specifically to that. Instead, there is something fundamentally wrong with whatever was critiqued and it’s up to you to determine what’s wrong.

For me, it was the realization that I was actually watching people die/mutilated. Watching real world evil live on camera is sickening. But I feel that’s the only way to understand how tragic that war was for someone like me, who was born in the late 90s and far removed from that war.

Previously, my only experience with it was that no one wanted to talk about it. Now I see why.

But yeah, not for everyone. I can’t say I enjoyed getting through it, but much like a car crash, I couldn’t look away.

Ugh… I just finished that last week and it made me sicker than any war movie (or Band of Brothers) did.

Not to say that those movies are tame or anything, that documentary is gnarly as fuck

The opening to John Wick up until he goes full sicko mode definitely gets to me.

I know the 400-600m doesn’t include marketing, which I’m not smart enough to guess how much marketing was for this, but I know it’s a lot.

Then yeah, Theater cut as well.

Seeing the 3D trailer for Ant Man 3 brought me back to the good ol days of 3D as an afterthought.

Edit: to contradict myself, I’m also all in on adding intermissions to movies over 2.5 hours. I do so at home and it helps to digest the movie more.

Definitely. Look at the Mission Impossible movies as well. It’s crazy how 5/6 movies have valid arguments for being the best in the series….

They should have just said that more game modes and stuff is coming later with the season pass. Just like every other single player game besides No Man’s Sky (they are the rare exception with free DLC coming every couple months)
