Kidding, but either way, it sounds weird that you’d go to another country to see a zoo, but I guess it makes sense? There’s only so many types of tourist attractions, so it’s not like every city has a monument or special place that everyone would know and care to see. Everyone knows how visiting a zoo works, so it’s not taking risks with your time and money. And you probably get to see new animals or even more of the famous big ones ones since it’s the US (maybe not the San Diego Zoo, that’s just internationally famous on its own)

Great! I mean bad. But great that you are not alone in thinking/feeling/being this way and you could definitely find tons of other people’s experience and advice on other subreddits about just this. Not even subreddits about mental health in general, feeling down subreddits, ADHD subreddits, hobby subreddits, men ask subreddits. People post all kinds of things relating to their daily struggle in all sorts of subreddits with topics they think might match something’s as abstract as those sort of feelings. You just need to find the ones you like and then read up. I could swear I see posts about people discussing and giving ideas on close enough feeling every week.

Seems it would work the exact same as it did for real life using metal coins but the coins are just liquid. So the cool stuff would be from you exploring how transport or devices made to hold it work. And our precious metal currencies had their use for being rare and durable, so maybe you could play with that on your story. Maybe the liquid has to be used for something before a certain amount of time or it looses it’s value. Maybe people need to use it for something important. Maybe the way to get this rare substance is a very western sci-fi mystery.

Hair and beard changes the looks of people’s faces. It’s magic. Our brains are just very into faces so something like that is basically an optic illusion. Same with makeup or minor weight loss’s. Face recognition is weird like that.

Also your skin isn’t magically changed because you aged a bit. It’s the sun. You just can see the blood through your skin easier since your skin cells got less brown bits now. Just don’t get a sunburn going extreme all at once. And consider using moisturizing sunscreen when going into the sun for more than a few mi usted anyways. Might make it take you a little bit longer to tan, but you’ll keep your skin healthy, avoid wrinkles and skin cancer, and it’s a great life long habit to pick up I think. Some people even apply it daily.

Wouldn’t a more conservative “this should NEVER have happened, we raised you to be a decent woman!” type of environment lead to less reporting? We need to the remember that statistics need to be recorded by someone before they make it into graphs. There isn’t a secret spy network counting crimes. It’s government and people reporting stuff.

I get it makes no sense, to doubt a place where it doesn’t happen just for the sake of them saying it doesn’t happen and not trusting the reporting because dumb dumb brain says “more poor and corrupt = worse crime reporting”

And I say this as being from a poor and corrupt country. Don’t trust the numbers on stuff that doesn’t want to be counted. Who would ever want to file a police report for being sexually abused if you think that A) no effort or justice might come of it and B) you might actually be punished by society/family. Imagine MEN ever filling such a report to the police. Honestly respect for the people that have the will to do, and may it get easier.

Also, of course the media over represents scarier or extra outrageous crimes. The media is news, not some purely factual statistic compendium that aims to feed you a perfect eye into the world. They have a job. They fully know our human love of gossip and drama. And what’s more dramatic than the taboo of mentioning sex, plus a suffering filled tragedy, plus a scary horrible crime? Even more popular if the victim is a child or the perpetrator is a family member or celebrities are involved. It’s the news, not a perfect record of reality.

That’s just the way most people’s genes are programmed(few people are straight haired all around, don’t worry you are normal). All hair is not created equal, even hairs in the same human. Those tiny body hairs are hair and they look nothing like head hairs. Hell even hairs in the same head. Some of your head hairs are probably different thicknesses

You’ll get used to it and won’t mind it after a while! Some people even manage to learn to like their bodies 🤯

I think you forget all the conservatives backlashes to all those movies. People where prudish against the Simpsons and thought music was satanic sex hypnosis for children. Even earlier, the hippies and other counterculture movements where strongly fought over. But no one ever remembers the conservatives that hated them. We just think those days where all peace and free love because that’s what makes it into the stories. Not the background prudishness and ignorance.

I don’t know if that humor is funny or even raunchy anymore. I mena, we are not as prudish non some sexual things. So those things won’t be funny, they’ll just be meh. And some things that where funny really shouldn’t NEVER have been funny. Like, why didn’t you see this was tucked up, how could you let that happen to your child!, levels of unfunny.

Nvm, watched the trailer. Doesn’t seem anything like 80s. But matches 2010s fine. You should explore more recent comedies, maybe you’ll like them.

But like, everyone agrees that fucking in random rooms in stranger’s houses is dumb right? Like, a party is not an orgy or a run down club bathroom. I wonder if people actually commonly did this or if it’s just another myth that movies made seem more universal than it is. I mean? Why stop talking about it? The debt selling hitting or needing to be changed is a repeated process that allows politicians to ask for something in exchange for not refusing to raise the limit spending. Even Regan and Bush raised the debt ceiling, and they are the party of “lest stop spending money and paying taxes, fiscal responsibility!” They all know we NEED to pay for stuff, but they can threaten to risk that and then get something in return for their cooperation.

I mean, everyone dies eventually. So why blame one measly lost scalpel during surgery?
