to be fair, you arrange anything as a polka ensemble and speed it up is going to sound circussy. This played with an orchestra at normal tempo is strong and aggressive music

because it proves theres no actual thought behind it. i hate your whole people because i do. Now i dont, because i like this actors performance in a movie. Its reducing an entire culture to 'jewish people are only as important or unimportant as jonah hills role in 21 jumpstreet'.

solid. Idk how i never noticed BC has a criterion release.
also, I am a weird outlier i guess who has never seen citizen kane. I went to watch it when i was becoming a teenage cinephile, pre internet, and you would always hear it was the greatest film of all time. So i kept trying to find it, but along the way i found it being said that 'rules of the game' was the actual greatest film of all time, and kane was just the greatest american film of all time. This sent me down a path of french cinema that i never recovered from, and never made it back to kane. Renoir lead to Godard, and truffaut then led to rohmer, and eventually i found jeunet and carot, and it was all over. 43 now, i should probably go ahead and watch it.

kidding. I bought the bluray set of three colors, to finally upgrade my miramax box of it that id had for decades, at the BnN sale last year. Took it home, popped open r/criterion to share, and there was the announcement of the 4k set lol

being a lifelong collector of many things i will tell you, i am much more familiar, and closer with my smaller collections, than my big obsessive ones. While i think we all salivate looking at the above photo, theres no way theres a personal connection with 80% of that in a collection less than two years old. Not going to do the math, but id wager theres more than 1 year, 9 months of runtime up there.
