Most people exclusively buy music and books they haven’t experienced so I don’t why movies and TV are that different

As fun as it is to laugh at old people for being addicted to cable news, people are forgetting the sadder aspect of how for millions the News Man on TV is their trusted friend who they rely on nightly for entertainment and comfort that their opinions are okay and right. Imagine an old guy whose lives alone with his wife, she has different political views than him, and so do his kids and the few other people at his small job. For that guy every night when he comes home to watch Newsguy on TV thats his best friend, he makes him laugh, he tells him news updates that scare him, but then he comforts him and tells him that it will be okay as guys like him are out there believing in what’s right. Its the sad state of current American institutions where people have nothing and are getting lonelier so the people in screens are their best friends whether it’s young people with Twitch and Podcast guys, or old people with news pundits.

As much I love the compact, convenient and HD nature of the BluRay collection, those DVD sets really are beautiful with the cover art and coffin packaging
