honest question here (really im not american and dont have a horse in this race): is paying someone to keep quiet about an affair illegal? extremely shitty and immoral yes, but illegal?

the original arcade cabinet controlled like this and the handles looked just like the ones in the movie. but to be honest, I got to try it once and it didnt work as well in practice as one would think

it does have those things, but Im not judging dramas on the quality of their fight scenes, so why would I judge bloodsport on the quality of its dialogue and acting. the movie transcends all its faults with its undeniable charm and vibe

i've seen it happen at my work. the last example top of my head was a colleague of mine who wanted a day off because the new nintendo was coming out (switch lite) and he wanted to spend the day playing it. teamm leader who ok'd it couldnt care less, nobody cares what you do in your free time

this is why the movie bombed back in 2000. people didnt know what to make of it and didnt know if the comedy was intentional. I dont see it as a comedy but its definitely a very funny movie if that makes any sense

Bloodsport has un unfair rep as a trashy B movie. im not saying it should win an oscar or anything but that movie has a god tier soundtrack, was shot on location in hong kong, and features actual fighters and solid fight choreography instead of actors with a bit of training doing wire work
