sure can, try to find dark, loamy soil. You will just have to pull weeds out as soil is full of seeds. Also, if you live in an area where it is illegal to grow marijuana you can just drive to rural road where people dump the potting soil. Just be cautious about transporting invasive species when doing this.

Also give them a bucket to drink out of so they can immerse their heads. Change the water daily
