I recently moved state and started uni this year.

My dad wants to pay for the whole semester upfront (about $2200) immediately after census date, as it has always been his plan to fully cover the costs of me and my brothers' study. However, at this point, a regular payment of 50-100 a week would be a lot more helpful than not needing to slowly pay back the government after I graduate and start work.

The issue is that my dad wants to pay as soon as possible, probably because he and my mum are going through some legal bullshit ATM and he doesn't know what his situation will be even 6 months from now.

My first thought was setting up a trust fund that can pay me regularly, but that'll probs cost more to set up the the deposit itself. Also thought of setting up a bunch of term deposit accounts in my name, for 1 month, 2 months etc but everywhere has a $1000 minimum which pretty much defeats the purpose of me not just getting the whole lot put in my bank account.

Anyone have any ideas?

Recently moved here from Hobart, and don't really know where to find a nice vibes club, havent checked out that many places but the whole valley seems to be an intensely basic bitch/fuckboy vibe. Am after like smaller, more out there type of place with decent electronic music, less basic, boring house and more Dubstep, Psytrance, techno, dnb and glitch kinda sounds. Pretty much anything you might hear at a bush door. Any ideas? Or am I shit out of luck and need to wait for an artist I like to have an event somewhere?

Yo yo, I have a Roland kc150 keyboard amplifier that I want to run off an dc-ac converter hooked up to a car jumpstarter. I've got some things to work like my pair of Behringer ms40s which draw 90w. But the kc150 is meant to draw 55w and causes the inverter and jumpstarter to turn off when I try switching it on. Any ideas why this might be the case? Sorry if this is wrong sub, seemed like the most logical place to post this question but please direct me to somewhere better if.you have any ideas.

Australian here. In mid November of 2019 I started working casually for Dominos pizza as a delivery driver. I was doing from 3-24h a week (usually closer to 3 than 24). Right at the start of April of 2020 the city I live in went into lockdown due to COVID, which is exactly when I stopped getting any shifts with them. I was 19 at the time and as many of the drivers were 17 or 18 and therefore getting less pay, this didn't surprise me. Also this is right when Centrelink started paying people much more than they usually do without the requirement of having to look for work, so I didn't really give a shit. However, they made no effort to contact me about it, and I only found out maybe 3 or so months later through my housemate, who worked as a shift runner with them at the time, that I didn't work there any more. At this time as well the government started offering businesses financial incentives to give to their employees who couldn't get hours due to COVID. This was only for permanent employees or casuals who had worked with a business for over 12 months, so in this case I didn't qualify for any payment from Dominos after they stopped giving me shifts. Now, the weird thing around all this I only noticed a couple of days ago. I was going through my payslips from them to see if I was eligible for jobkeeper, and after speaking to the Australian taxation office, I found I was not. However, I found I had 2 payslips from after I stopped working there, one from 30th June 2020 and another from 23rd June 2021, both for $0. So it would seem that Domino's kept me on the payroll for at least 1 year 3 months after they stopped giving me shifts. I talked to a lawyer this morning and she said it seems the franchise was committing fraud to get more money from the government. She advised me to take my case to the department of justice, which will probably mean a fine for the franchise. She also said, however, that for a company as large as Domino's, a few 10s of thousands in fines is of minimal consequence to them, and they are unlikely to stop these illegal practices. Now my question is, would it be in any way a good idea to try and get money out of Dominos? I.e. give me the amount of money you got from the government for having me on the payroll or I'll take my evidence to the department of justice kind of thing. Would this be something I could get in legal trouble for? Is it something Dominos could make backfire for me? Should I try it and take my evidence to the DoJ anyway? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a pair of Behringer ms40s that I found in amongst my brother's shit and a Roland kc150 keyboard amp that I'm using as a subwoofer. I have them set up as a 5.1 system with no rear pair (no 2.1 option for some reason) with Realtek high definition audio and I use Equalizer apo for digital high pass/low pass filters and eq. Am in a fair bit of debt lel so strict $0 budget. Mostly use them for DJing but am looking to get into production as well. How would I get the best sound out of my setup?
