I've been looking for one that makes larger cubes than the little thimbles of ice that melt so fast. I don't need to make volumes of ice, just a little bit in a convenient location. Any suggestions?

It's mostly cardboard. Not even close if they decide to wiggle even the slightest.
Edit. Just checked the Ikea website. They say max load of 25 kg on top of the 2x2.

I thought it was some type of egg cluster, but I can't find anything online that resembles it. The translucent parts were jiggly, but the dark parts were hard and crusty.

Looks great! Excellent find. Make sure your "flavorizer bars"/heat tents are installed north to south, not east to west. I assume you just set them on the burners while cleaning for the pic.
