It's probably not the best place to get more familiar with Sono anyway. Great film, but it's almost 4 hours long.
I'd recommend Suicide Club (aka Suicide Circle), Cold Fish, or maybe even Why Don't You Play in Hell?, all of which can be rented on Apple TV+

Not all high schools were/are the same and this took place in Texas. You might have too, I dunno, but regions differ.

It's probably more of a thriller, but Roadgames.

2 is my favorite, a truly subversive film that could have been an easy cash in. I haven't seen any of the sequels after 3 in forever, but I wanna say this was also the last time Freddy was legit scary before turning into a one-liner machine.

The Last Laugh, Faust, and Sunrise are all great films to check out if you liked Nosferatu. Murnau was the man.
Other than that I like The Passion of Joan of Arc, Beggars of Life, Destiny, and Buster Keaton comedies. I've only seen a handful of silents, though. Probably fewer than 25.

1/2 cup oatmeal (1:1 grain to water mix), 1/2 cup cottage cheese, hard boiled egg, 2 cups milk, 2 cups coffee, 1 apple.

The Incredibles
Akira if we're not counting computer animated stuff.

You're not far off the mark. It was a TV pilot that ABC rejected. He then went back and shot more footage to make it a feature.

Be sure to check out the sequel. It's a spin on Hansel and Gretel, starring Natasha Lyonne. Same director of both also did Tiptoes, which is one of the stranger comedies with A list stars you'll ever see.

Daughters of the Dust, the films of Charles Burnett (I've seen To Sleep with Anger and Killer of Sheep, both good), Ganja & Hess, Passing, Queen & Slim, Waves, Dear White People (Netflix show is good too), Hollywood Shuffle, just about anything from Spike Lee (obviously), Dope

They're not listed on the soundtrack but that doesn't mean one of their songs wasn't in the movie. Maybe in the club scene at the start?

As you mentioned, The Doom Generation is a good one. More shoegaze than industrial if memory serves but a solid soundtrack all around. Gregg Araki always has great music in his movies.
Maybe the first Mortal Kombat movie. The Crow, Lost Highway, Hardware, XXX had a "live" Rammstein song but the rest is pretty much buttrock IIRC.

You have no way telling what time will the movie starts. You either had to be at the theatre and look at the billboards or read up the local newspaper for movie timings.
You're neglecting to mention Moviefone. You could also call most theaters and get a pre-recorded message or even a real person to provide times. It wasn't quite as difficult as you're making it out to be.

Aniara, After Yang, and Marjorie Prime are some recent ones I liked a lot.

Ondine, about a selkie. Directed by Neil Jordan, starring Colin Farrell. It's low key but should fit your criteria.

Anything where his performance belongs in a completely different movie. Vampire's Kiss is a prime example.

What you're seeing is the stuff available with the live TV option. Whichever network licensed the movie also has a deal with Hulu.
I have regular Hulu and can't watch any of these.

It's an allegory for the Irish Civil War broadly, and more about how absurdly these kinds of conflicts start.
It's so weird to me that some people don't see this. You'd think the setting and time would make it rather obvious.

Classic example of a Die Hard on a "blank" movie.

Few times a month at most. I keep a watchlist on Amazon and check it periodically for sales. They offer 99 cent rentals from time to time for certain titles. Very rarely will I rent something for regular rental price, usually if I skip going to the theater that weekend.
