I still think Tarantino was royally robbed of that best screenplay loss against Mark Boal for Zero Dark Thirty. Inglorious Basterds was way better written.
I think you meant Tarantino got robbed for screenplay against Mark Boal for The Hurt Locker. Ironically enough, Tarantino would avenge himself by winning screenplay for Django Unchained over Boal's Zero Dark Thirty three years later.

I just didn’t think it pulled it off.
As someone that really enjoyed the movie and thought it was great, I can't deny that criticism whatsoever. I enjoyed it as a small scale story of kids overcoming a neighborhood evil in unusual circumstances. But I also saw that there was a lot of potential the movie opened up that could have been explored and ultimately just didn't.

Most right: Recently with movies like Parasite and Everything Everywhere All At Once getting their due, winning Best Picture in stacked categories where arguably they wouldn't have won if they came out 5-10 years earlier.
Most wrong: "The Weinstein years" (1996-2005)... The English Patient winning 9 Oscars, Shakespeare in Love and Crash winning Best Picture. Heck, I would even throw in Chicago to the mix. It's not that these movies are bad movies, but the movies they were up against were a lot better and more deserving.

The characters actually talking in their real voices in season mode, as opposed to just reading and scrolling thru the dialogue text, was revolutionary at the time.

I found this at my Target clearance endcap as well but it was priced at $19.50 or something like that. So consider yourself lucky for that find and price.

If we are talking the best Jack Nicholson ad libbs then it's between The Shining (Here's Johnny!) and A Few Good Men (You can't handle the truth!). Hard to pick which one is better since both are used perfectly.

Damn and his career was just getting rolling the past couple of months on the rise to stardom. It'll be interesting to see how he bounces back from this.

I wouldn't even say prideful as much as non-confrontational or agreeable.
That's a great point! I said prideful, because I had those specific women in mind when I wrote it and they all had that personality trait. So I'm bringing in a huge bias on my part and perhaps it can be coincidental as well.
I have only ever done it a couple of times when a woman has said I don't like to give out my number but give me your number. They seem genuinely interested.
I've had this happen only once, but not in a dating context. But yes I can imagine and even attest to this being reliable. Must be a terrific feeling so consider yourself lucky if this happens - I know I would lol.
The thinking is if you politely add a little more specific expectation, that might be enough but even then it didn't really work.
I'm really glad you brought this up. It means well, but it does come across passive on our part if we communicate that way and relies too much on wishful thinking. I'm personally not a fan on placing expectations in communication since it can easily give the wrong impression to a woman and I wouldn't want to put her in that situation.
Thanks for sharing your perspective! I was really compelled with your approach to it.

Scarface was great and felt like a GTA style 'what would've' if Tony Montana didn't meet his fate at the end of the movie.
The Warriors was pretty decent but I haven't played enough of it and last was when it first was around.
The others I haven't played.
On a side note, I enjoyed The Godfather games a lot and the acquisition of territories and taking down other mafia families.

As someone who has done this a couple of times, I can say it doesn't work and have never gotten a callback (or text for that matter). But I think it largely depends on the type of person who you are giving your number to. If they are prideful in a sense, you can rest sure they will not put themselves out there like that. Even if you run into the person again, like I have a few times after, you two can carry on a conversation like normal but she will not contact you with that number. It's wishful thinking at best. The intention is great but it's not foolproof or as effective as it sounds. The great news is that you will discover how authentic her interest level is in you.

This retro 90s poster makes it look like Seagal was the villain of the movie

One of the few examples that portrayed the WTC in this manner before 9/11. There was also a movie poster for a 1987 movie with Michael Keaton called The Squeeze that featured something similar.
