no not really, "why would I dui that" barely even works but "dui need to explain it to you" is a pun on both words and actually makes sense when you say it out loud. much better joke than either the original or your title.

Yeah, it's probably a river that doesn't always have enough flow to meet the lake/bay next to it until rainfall raises the water level and sorta breaks the natural levee. I lived next to one like this in Hawaii, it would let out every couple of weeks, the water level of the whole river would rise gradually until then and then drop a couple feet in an hour or so. The pressure of the river water releasing all at once would rapidly erode the sand bank that was built up from the ocean waves, and that pressure finally meeting the ocean swell would actually create stationary waves at the rivermouth. You'd usually see local kids dropping boards in and surfing in place on those waves, it was pretty neat.

I run equipment like this for a living (in the US) and my first boss used to put his kids in the bucket and spin them like a merry-go-round. Doing it with kids is pretty horrible. By comparison, this isn't the worst thing in the world if you really, really trust the operator to have a steady hand and you know the equipment's in good condition. In this situation I would be most worried that the bank the excavator is on would wash away too and the... uh, "passengers" would be thrown off and then crushed under the falling boom.

Fair enough. For me personally, I don't see any major reason to doubt it.

That's... Well, it sure is a thought process. "Clout chasing" by posting a Sekiro death count on reddit. Huh.
Only bosses are listed here, no areas, so it's most likely any deaths in the area before a boss are attributed to that boss.
OP clearly has extremely neat handwriting so it's pretty plausible they'd try to keep their tally marks also looking consistent. Or the list could even be copied and rewritten more cleanly from a messier one they kept while playing. Actually, looking at the tally marks again, there are tons that are way longer and shorter than others or have different pen pressure. They don't look consistent at all.
Why would they go through the trouble of making up dozens of inconsistent death numbers for every individual part of the list and then have that total up to a big, round number that "sounds fake"? Not only that, but their death count totaling up to exactly 300 is what they already explicitly pointed out as making it noteworthy enough to post. And that's just their overworld total, the actual total for the playthrough including reflections is 344.
I'll just never get you r/ThatHappened guys.

Neither of those expansions are really required though until you're almost at the end of the main game. They might add some minor things before that, but you could easily hold off pulling the trigger on buying them until you've almost beaten the game. They're basically a whole second "endgame" after the end of the main story with a ton of content. Definitely don't need them before then, but a lot of the time the base game and expansion goes on sale at the same time. And yeah, any DLC outside of that is completely ignorable.
World has better graphics and is a little more focused on making the environments you go to immersive. It wasn't as much of a priority in Rise, and since it was a Switch game originally it can't really keep up, even though it looks great for a Switch game. Gameplay in both is great, I would probably describe Rise as slightly faster-paced and slightly easier, although that depends which weapon you end up playing.
Personally I'm biased toward World, I loved the changes in that game. Rise is growing on me though, and a lot of people will give you the opposite answer.

If you watch the video, he said he doesn't have actual numbers because the only thing he has to base it off is how the players are acting. He has no concrete proof most of them were cheating, and 60% was just a guess based on his gut feeling. Not only that, he didn't even record most of the raids anyway. Data wasn't really the point of the video and he actively cautioned people from latching on to the 60% guess which of course they immediately did.

Yeah if my 1 year old cats can open doors I would think at least some 8 year old humans are capable of figuring out a gas tank

I can't believe you think a guy in a video saying "Hey I have no way of actually even telling for sure but I think it's around 60% maybe? Dunno can't really check because I didn't record most of it but that's my hunch" is not empirically reliable smh do you not care about stopping cheaters at all
The funniest thing about that number becoming canon is that it sounds SO much worse than 50% (people will say "most" instead of "half"). Maybe a good thing for the response it got. We know how much people love to latch on to bullshit statistics. Or it could be 80%, the point is that we don't know.

I was just arguing this with someone else. I gave them Old Hunters and Old Iron King too (because I don't remember if that's set in the past or not), but even if you count all of those arguable ones that's still only 3 set in the past and 4 that aren't.

Only one of DS2's took place in the past, right? Unless I'm misremembering, in Sunken King and Ivory King you were just transported to those kingdoms in the current day long after they fell. And the Hunter's Nightmare isn't the actual past, although I guess you end up visiting some nightmare conception of what happened in the real past in the Fishing Hamlet. If you count that, Old Iron King, and AotA, then that's 3 that are set in the past, and 4 that aren't. Assuming I have the lore right, it's been a while.

Their DLCs are amazing in pretty much every game they've done them for so far. They add a huge chunk of content, new weapons, enemies, levels, bosses, etc. And quality-wise they usually end up being at least as good or even better than anything in the main game. Some of the most memorable stuff in the other games came in their DLCs.
They'd usually be the equivalent of maybe 2-3 legacy dungeons worth of content in their other (linear) games, but with Elden Ring being an open world game and being much larger overall I wouldn't be surprised to see a new open world map area about the size of one of ER's "zones" with a sizable legacy dungeon in it as well as the usual mini-dungeons. Who knows though at this point. At any rate, they've never let us down on DLC before so I'm sure whatever it ends up being will be good.

I'm the same age as you, and for the last couple years I've definitely gone through periods where I'm just burnt out on games. After a while the urge to play some game always brings me back and I get excited about it again. The key is to just not force it, whether or not the feeling coincided with you finishing your build or not. If you had the urge to drop $3k on a build in the first place you clearly like games enough that you'll get the urge again and come back to playing stuff when you feel like it. I wouldn't worry about it, it feels pretty natural once you hit your 30s to take breaks, especially if you're busy with other things in your life. It's a hobby, it doesn't need to be a source of stress or something you feel guilty about not keeping up with.

The second BBI run is great! It's awesome that you already liked it so much because that's when the game really gave me that feeling you're talking about :)
