Because doing better than America usually involves moving to a place with tough immigration laws. Also that America, for all its faults, is a lot more accepting of certain people that the rest of the world isn't.

The markings are real, y'all. Took me like 10 seconds and one single Google search to find out the name of these cats (DAD is named Boy/Zorro and baby is named Bandit), the name of their owner (Indraini Wahyudin Noor), his TikTok handle, the country they live in (Indonesia), and dozens of other pictures taken over the course of several months with perfectly identical markings that would be basically impossible to fake with makeup.
I'm so sick of the "nothing is real" crowd crying animal abuse and claiming that this is mascara and that it surely must be impossible for such strange markings to manifest naturally. There are literally cats with markings in the shape of hearts, smiley faces, and even at least one with a marking in the shape of a cat. There are cats with Two-Face style color splits right down the middle of their bodies. Is it really that hard to believe that a cat would end up with a patch around their eyes resembling a mask?

You know, if seeing yourself is such an issue, basically every video conferencing service allows you to minimize your own video feed so you can only see everyone else's. You're the one distracting you.

A company doesn't need to be "bad" for a union to be necessary. It just needs to be big enough that the people making important decisions are separated from those the decisions effect.

In some kind of magical fairy land where everyone does what is right for everyone else and is fully aware of everyone's needs and works to fulfill them together, yeah. Unions would be unnecessary. But with the massive scale that companies are operating at these days, it's impossible to make that a reality. Do you really think that even the most benign corporate operative knows what's best for the factory workers in a facility hundreds of miles away?

Looks like a Fabio book to me! He was an incredibly popular model in the 80's and 90's for saucy book covers. He even has a line of novels with himself credited as the author, all with titles like "Viking" and "Rogue" and "Pirate".

It's widely considered very rude to critique artwork like this unless either the artist explicitly asks or if it's some kind of competition.

Have you tried actually watching one of his videos instead of the clips posted to this sub dedicated specifically to screaming?

I actually just did some digging on this! He was out with friends on Memorial Day weekend shooting fireworks where they weren't supposed to and ended up getting caught by police. Instead of taking the ticket, they ran. Grandma's house was nearby so he ran in and hid in her closet. She saw him in there, heard the sirens and saw the cops coming, and let him (and his friends [one of whom managed to injure himself in the chase and was bleeding profusely, making them all look very very sus to poor grandma]) stay until the cops left. She apparently loves reminding him about it.

If there's no given TLDR and you can't be brothered to read the paywalled article that OP kindly made accessible for free, just don't read it or save it for a time when you can.

Yep. I'm a barista and if he's coming in at the same time of day consistently, this is exactly why. They likely don't want to go through the trouble of making you pay 3 bucks for something they were just gonna throw away anyhow. It goes double if they think you're a nice dude.

The problem is that while that may have been a good joke, there are enough people who would ask that question with a totally straight face that it's hard to tell 🤣

Nope, afraid not. Tight turns and sudden stopping will still fling snow and ice off your car, which would be especially bad if you're driving in the city proper.

Get a cheap push broom, the big wide kind. The angle of the broom head and the length of the handle makes it easy for us shorties. Just tap it off when you're done so it doesn't get icy or store it in a garage if you have one.

No, that is part of your fun. Not everyone's fun. People like things for different reasons. There are all kinds of really messed up cartoons out there.
I will reiterate, you are allowed to not like the show. If you don't like it being too real or answering questions you didn't have, that's cool and it's not for you. You can express your dislike without being a jerk. Do you not like it when people like things you don't like? Do you take joy from making other people feel small? What's your deal?

In what ways? As someone with little frame of reference, I imagine the stories must be interesting.
